porting numbers in UK telewest/bt/adept
A client used to use BT isdn30 and ported the numbers to telewest
several years ago.
Now, the client moved to adept telecom. I *think* adept resells BT
products. We got new numbers from adept (bt?) and the old pbx on the
telewest lines forwards the calls to the new numbers.
On the adept line I got a digium card in an opteron supermicro server.
ztcfg gives me over 99.99 pretty much all the time.

not sharing IRQ's
I'm not having any trouble with interrupts, but here's my
/proc/interrupts on Fedora Core 2 on a hyper-threading CPU and using the
SMP kernel (2.6.5-1.138). I don't think I need to worry about uhci_hcd,
nothing is plugged into USB, but libata is the disk driver. How do I
get libata and wctdm to use different interrupts?

New Forum
How do people feel about eliminating the list serv in favor of the forum?
Or limiting the list serv to news?
I have one vendor I work with that has a knowledgebase, a forum, and two
mailing lists - with much overlap of topics. It is truly enough to drive
you totally crazy.
I'm not suggesting anything. Just bringing it up.

writing PV block drivers for Windows
I''m now at the stage where I can think about writing some PV block
drivers for Windows. I have working event channel and xen store
subsystems (but they''ll probably need some more refinement once things
progress), and the Windows XenPCI driver enumerates devices as they are
added to xenstore.
This leaves me with a few questions...
1. I assume that the qemu virtual BIOS uses the

Wine 0.9.55 late for (k)ubuntu?
Hi all,
I noticed on the web site that Wine 0.9.55 has been released on
February, 8th, but still I don't see the update on Adept Manager.
I'm using Kubuntu 7.10 64 Bits and I added the Wine's official
repository on the Adept repository list.
Is it just me or there is a problem on the Wine repository?
Thank in advance.

killing UUCP
Hey *, I'm getting an audit coming down the pipes and I have 2
4.6 release boxes to clean up. I say "clean up" because they
have some requirements that I missed despite due diligence. My
specific question is: To what extent can I get rid of UUCP?
Aside from the SUID/SGID stuff that pops up via my finds, I
simply see no reason to have any UUCP stuff on these boxes. Is
this stuff

Seeking expert RoR developer in NYC area
I have a project for which I am seeking a partner to do the
development. You should be an expert in RoR, have time available for
development and looking to be a part of an unusually good business
venture.
With this project you will not have any annoying clients with no
understanding of technology, I am very adept at web tech in other
languages and can supply you business logic in terms of

MSW segfaults II
Hi
Think I tracked down why Windows suddenly went horrible crashy - the
newest SWIG release generates slightly different code for object
tracking, so our fixmodule.rb wasn''t picking up the broken line, so we
got a nasty regression.
Anyway, the patch (SVN:862) gives me a major improvement in stability
Windows. Please could you let me know how SVN HEAD is working for you;

stable + squid 2.5_3
I seem to be having a problem, but I'm not sure if it's -stable, Squid, or
neither. I've been running -stable+Squid on a Dell 4600 for a couple
years now. All has been well, but after upgrading to Squid 2.5_3 (which
was also done on a couple other, less-loaded, -stable machines without
this issue to date), I occasionally get errors in my cache.log and this AM

2.95.4
i'm building mod_php3 (some local stuff needs a php3 processor) with mysql

know i've built before on older stable's) reports gcc can't convert
longlong to something or other... basicly saying i need a newer compiler.

realpath(3) et al
First, I hope that this message is not considered flame bait. As someone
who has used FreeBSD for for 5+ years now, I have a genuine interest in
the integrity of our source code.
Second, I hope that this message is not taken as any form of insult or
finger pointing. Software without bugs does not exist, and I think we all
know that. Acknowledging that point and working to mitigate the risks

JavaScript question
Hi guys,
I know this is not the perfect place to ask this question, but I''m
struggling with object-oriented javascript and event-handlers and you
guys are probably the only ones adept enough to help me out with this.
I have this calendar code I hate (and still have to maintain ;) and
wanted to change it to use object-orientation.
So I have written a JavaScript-class called

multihost master.passwd sync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions about syncing up master.passwd
files between multiple machines that didn't involve allowing root login
remotely? The users need to be able to log in remotely and own files on the
different machines.
