Basically, I'd like to have just one .wine dir on my file system that multiple users on LINUX can share thus allowing me to keep a single install of my windows apps. The default is to install to /home/CURRENT_USER/.wine so I'm wondering, as long as the LINUX users are in the same group, can I relocate the .wine dir to say, /home/share/.wine and update the wineconfig? I just installed steam+TMN and it seems to run quite well apart from sound. I tried switching to OSS and got not sound while on ALSA I get the occasional "click" and thats about it. Other software I have run through wine is WAR beta and WoW both of which play sound fine, so I suspect maybe Steam is holding up the sound device or something? I am on Ubuntu Hardy. Hello, I am looking for a way to create an individual wine rpm of the actual src.rpm. My goal is a new winepfrefix, that is created when a user is logging in, that contains additional win-programs. But I did not find the path in the wine...tar.gz file, where the wineprefix is located. can someone help me? Is this even possible? Oi. So. Now we have a version of windows that actually has legit uses for wine. Windows 7 can't run horrifyingly outdated 16bit programs(Such as Exile Escape from the Pit) period. Atleast so Ive herd--and tried and seen to seem to be true.
