Borland Database Engine related installer issue (Portal GT-D)
I am attempting to install the Portal GT-D mud client
(www.gameaxle.com) on top of wine-0.9.6-1.fc4 which I then
reconfigured using winetools-0.9-3jo after failing to install MS
Office XP Pro (which I never did get to work either, but I found some
references saying that it wasn't likely to). IE6 installed and runs
for what it is worth. I run the setup program in the style the wine
tools use

No adsl in dom0 - Fedora 7
Hi,
I am having problems establishing an adsl connection in dom0 (but ONLY
in dom0, without xen everything is ok). Following is my setup/situation:
1. Installed clean Fedora 7 (with virtualization option selected)
2. Booted with the non-xen kernel & setup adsl. Adsl connection works
without any problems.
3. Rebooted with xen kernel into dom0.
4. adsl connection can no longer be activated

Hi!
This requires a code change, which is currently in progress. It does require you to patch Dovecot yourself if you want to use it, once it's ready.

Hello,
Writing to get some insight as to how I might rid myself of a the pesky
error message on the subject. Every binary throws out that error, every
LMTP delivery... basically every time any dovecot binary is executed. I
am unsure if this is configuration related or not, but intuition says it
is an issue with a kernel feature or compiler issue.
I saw the error message in the source code

Migrate a share from Mac-OSX to NAS ASUSTOR samba 4.4
Hello everyone,
I hope you are well. Take care of yourself.
I have the same problem as describe here:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2014-December/187545.html
I migrate a file share from a MAC-OS environment. For its new storage
system, the company purchased an ASUSTOR NAS. This NAS works with an
operating system based on version 4.14 of the GNU / LINUX x86_64 kernel.
This NAS operates a

WinXP client always connects as Gaia\Guest
All attempts to connect to our Samba server, share "\data" from any Windows client fails. I'm trying to get samba to prompt the windows user with a login box, have them enter the samba username/password, then head onto the share.
If I use in the address field the following:
\\gaia\data /user:woellki
a dialog box appears, with the username field greyed out "Gaia\Guest"

I got it. Thanks. The share is working. Only problem, I need some files to be only readable for the end user (templates) the problem is windows doesn't for some reason allow me to change the rights. I am using dutch windows so the error is dutch but translated it say. Can't connect/find active directory to verify or open claimtypes.

Check version from installer disc
Is there some way to see what version will be installed by an installation
disc? I made a USB installer and I forgot whether it's CentOS 7.3 or 7.5.
Short of running the whole installer and seeing what happens, I can't see
any way to get this info from within Anaconda.

I will not be running any updates, because I need to keep a specific old
version for software compatibility. I don't know which ISO the USB stick
was made from.

Windows XP fails to load Desktop Profile on Samba 3 PDC
Hello,
I'm currently trying to implement samba 3.0.14a as PDC in our
office.
I've allready managed to join the first trial workstations to the
Domain. Now I have the following problem:
I've created an Administrator-account for joining the machines
and doing maintenance work. This account seems to have no
problem to store its personal settings (Desktop, startmenu) on
the PDC.
