Screen resolution Problem
Hi all This is my first post and I get the feeling that it will be a very easy one to fix and I will kick myself when I hear it but here it goes. I have installed wine 1.0 on my Ubuntu HH desktop no problems with install etc. However when I try to use wine i.e. configure or use a program the wine interface has a font size that is HUGE and I cannot change these settings i.e. ctrl scroll etc. I

Screen Resolution within the "Configure Wine" window
I had to reconfigure the wine window size in order to run an app. Having changed it, the window size was fine but the letter sizes are huge. When I try to reconfigure it i cannot get to the Graphics lower part of the page in order to put things right. Is there a way to do this other than with the mouse? I.e, with some keyboard shortcuts? Bear.

Problems with CritSec and Wine 20020605 !?
Hello, I tried to run Master of Orion II Win95 edition just for fun. I'm using a wine only installation without any Windows binaries. The installation went fine. But I'm not able to start the program. When I run "wine Orion95.exe" on the command line, a black rectangle appears in the upper left corner of the screen. Then I get the following messages:

Can the WINE window be larger on high resolution settings?
I was reading this post http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?p=45535&sid=6957add8af3402a8afa68d8527121e2d and others like it looking for a way to make the content in the WINE window look larger. I mean to look like 800x600 resolution when the monitor settings is at 1024x768. So, I have typed this on the command line: Code: wine explorer /desktop=spider,800x600 spider.exe or wine explorer

default plugins
I have checked compiz 0.3.4 for the default plugins. These are as follows: gconf, decoration, fade, minimize, move, resize, switcher it means that not included ones are annotate, clone, cube, dbus, place, plane, rotate, scale, screenshot, water, wobbly, zoom I understand that some of the disabled ones aren't crucial, but I think that place should be included. Without it, new windows open in the upper left

Hi guys :) I have a KVM libvirt fedora16 guest running inside of Rhel. It exhibits no connectivity. I've clicked the "networking->eth0" icon at the upper right corner of the screen, which appears to work normally. However, i have no external connectivity (i cant ping google/yahoo etc). I can ping my host machine, however. -- Jay Vyas http://jayunit100.blogspot.com

Wine doesn't fix resolution changes.
When I play various games that change the display, in most cases it doesn't return back to normal after the program exits. This can be a pain when it makes the images to huge I can't click the apply button to fix the resolution problem. My idea is to implement a check/revert to previous resolution to the wine project.

Strange issue with windows positioning
Hi, I just compiled and installed the latest compiz from git head and I have a strange issue with windows positioning: all newly created windows are placed at 0,0 (upper left corner) of the screen, so the title bar (and menu bar too) is under my gnome panel. I attach a screenshot to show the problem. I can't understand if this is a problem of compiz configuration (plugin order or something

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit. My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

Quicken2011 won't work under wine 1.3.30 Why???
I have wine 1.3.25 and Quicken 2011 install in Ubuntu 10.10. When I upgrade to wine 1.3.30, via the Upgrade Utilities, Quicken no longer works. It comes up to the checkbook, turns gray and stays there. When I click the exit "x" ( upper right corner) a message says it is not responding and I must "crash out" of Quicken. I even tried an all NEW 1.3.30 install of wine using
