Renaming of Program Files folder
Has anybody else experienced a problem with Wine renaming the Windows
Program Files folder to !$!$!$!$.pfr and (seemingly) creating another
empty copy of Program Files elsewhere. I have experienced this problem
twice while running two different versions of Wine (the last one
CodeWeavers 20010305-1). Naturally, Windows takes exception to this and
won't run.
The information I have is :-

Missing mails after folder renaming
Dear List,
I seem to have created myself a problem to which I can't find an answer.
I am using Dovecot (0.99.13-4.FC2 on Fedora Core 2) with Mozilla
Thunderbird on Windows XP and Linux as IMAP client software.
I renamed a folder to a name that included spaces (it fitted the pupose
better), then later realised that I would have to change my procmail
rules to suit. As I wasn't sure what

Sorry if my question seems candide but I need some help.
I'm running samba on one of my remote machine,and rsync allow me to do my daily backup through a low bandwidth network. Until recently everything was ok, but I've got some users renaming several folders. In this case rsync resend the full folder (including the files !!!) and not only the modification. It seems that rsync

Hi,
i want to reorg my directories and move (and rename) some .wine folder to /opt.
After moving and renaming the .wine folder some applications don't start again. A least, i found some .lnk files in c:\... with absolute user and folder names inside.
I dont know if i misunderstand something or if something is misconfigured in my wine but until now i think that the C:\ / Z:\ devices are the

[Bug 2294] Detect renamed files and handle by renaming instead of delete/re-send

--- Comment #26 from Ben RUBSON <ben.rubson at gmail.com> ---
### What's the diff between --fuzzy and --detect-renamed ?
If I understand correctly, --fuzzy looks only in destination folder, for either
a file that has an identical size and modified-time, or a similarly-named file,
and uses it as a basis file.
Whereas --detect-renamed looks

Maildir folder renaming disagreement among IMAP clients
A user alerted me to a problem when he renamed an upper level mail
folder and lost access to a lower level folder under it.
I tried with and without listescape, it didn't seem to make a
difference, and I saw no errors in the dovecot log.
Symptoms are if a client has a maildir folder tree .a and .a.b and
renames a to c in their client, Thunderbird shows c/b but b is
inaccessible since it

Virtual mailboxes: errors after renaming a folder
Hello,
I have a dovecot server, running fine, on Debian Stretch.
Virtual folders are set up, and works correctly. For instance, I have
Unread, All and Conversations, and everything works fine.
However, when I rename a folder, I have error messages from Dovecot.
For instance, I had a folder INBOX/Bills, which I renamed
INBOX/Invoices. After that, I have these error messages:

-ffast-math optimizations impacted by symbol renaming in header files
Hi,
I came across an issue where some optimizations that would normally be applied to standard math function calls are not getting applied when the –ffast-math option is enabled on the Clang command line on a Linux x86_64 target.
I tracked down the issue to occurring because the –ffast-math option is triggering Clang to preprocess the math.h header file with the __FINITE_MATH_ONLY__ macro set

Folder disappears on rename
I have Samba 4.0.9 installed under Ubuntu 12.04. It's configured as a
domain member, with a Windows 2008R2 server being the DC. All
workstations are running Windows 7. One of my users is reporting
problems in the following scenario:
1) She creates a folder in one of the Samba shares, and places a number
of documents there.
2) She closes all open documents and closes Windows Explorer

Renaming IMAP folders does not affect children
Hi,
we're using dovecot2.0 since August and very happy with it.
Just recently Thunderbird users reported problems when renaming folders,
and it seems that RFC 2060 (sec. 6.3.5) requires children of a renamed
folder to be renamed, too. This however does not happen:
Talking IMAP I get:
* LIST (\HasChildren) "." "INBOX.NNN1"
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) "."

Renaming a folder while other smbd-users have files opened
A rather basic issue, but very important -> the following happened to me
today:

directory mask = 02775
force directory mode = 0775

renaming files from w2k on samba 2.2.0
Having installed samba 2.2.0 I met no problems until I tried to
rename my mp3 files from a windows 2000 workstation.
W2K always shows a preview of the marked file, no matter if it is
a picture or anything else.
So it shows the button bar of the media player (which cannot be
uninstalled), because of this the file is opened by a different
program and cannot be renamed.
Pictures or anything else can

can't connect to home share after renaming Windows user
I just went through the ordeal of renaming a Windows user account (from
the previous incumbent's name to the position title, so I won't have to
repeat this). Everything went smoothly. The account has access to the
programs and files that it previously did. The roaming profile is being
updated when the user logs out. The C:\user\president folder is
accessing and storing the local

I've been playing with the --detect-renamed patch

I can't get seem it to work. Does it rely on other patches?
Anyway, in a simple test, using

Can't see public folder contents after renaming folder
Hi
We are using Thunderbird 2.0.0.x (Linux and Windows) with IMAP accounts
against Dovecot 1.0.beta3 on Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper with Maildir.
It is all working well except when we rename a folder in the public
namespace, the person who renames it can no longer see the contents of the
folder. If we rename it back to the original name , the person can see the
contents again.
If we delete the files in

Folder renaming oddities.
Hi Timo,
We are observing some weird behaviour when we try to rename an inferior
folder, followed by the superior folder.
These folders have an asterisk in the name.
* LIST (\HasChildren) "." "*Own Family"
* LIST (\HasChildren) "." "*Own Family.Tour"
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) "." "*Own Family.Maid"
* LIST (\HasNoChildren)

Renaming shared mailbox makes it disappear from sharee
I've run into an interesting thing.? If a mailbox has been shared to a second user (I'll call it the sharee), and there are subfolders on that mailbox, and the sharee renames one of those subfolders, it disappears from view to the sharee.? The only way I've been able discover to fix it is to have the sharee create a new subfolder -- then the renamed folder shows up again; in addition
