Re: Word 2003 - can't change default language from English (US)
Got exactly the same problem Stefan. Have tried running regedit and changing language settings but no luck. There must be a simple explanation because I'm assuming that Word is picking up default settings from the system somewhere.

Regarding tests you can perform on the windows side: A couple of months ago, a samba user wrote in this group explaining that the easiest way to reproduce op-lock break timeouts was to select 10 or 20 so MS Word files and open them all once. (I've tried multiuser test programs which lock regions, write CRC'ed data and checks it etc, but I can't find anything that beats MS Office

Hi; I emailed monty@xiph.org about this before I noticed the mailing list existed; I suppose it can't ask to hurt here too. We're about to release a product which has support for multiple languages; as a result, the license text and documentation has been translated into each of these languages. As the product includes Ogg Vorbis playback using libvorbis, we've obviously got to

Translate Centos Release Notes into your own non-English Language
Centos 6.0 Release Notes are here http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.0 Volunteers whose native (or first language) is not English are invited to translate the Release Notes into their own language. There are probably other useful translation tasks to make Centos understandable to people all around the world. Should the Centos Mailing List diversify into non-English language

R script editor fails to read script longer then 1000 chars (non-English language settings) (PR#9254)
Full_Name: Otto Shtirlitz Version: 2.3.1 OS: Win XP SP2 Submission from: (NULL) (71.102.102.246) I believe it's the same situation as described in bug 9248. model.matrix troubles with AlgDesign
Dear DevelopeRs, in continuing with my suite of packages on experimental design, I am stuck with an issue that appears to be related to package AlgDesign - I have tried to get it solved by Bob Wheeler, but he seems to be stuck as well. Whenever AlgDesign is loaded, some of my code does not work any more. For example, in a fresh R session: require(DoE.base) fac.design(nlevels=c(2,6,2))

Month name in English, not R running language
When ploting a timeseries, the months are shown with abbreviation in the current language of the system. For example, x <- seq(from=as.Date("2000-04-01"), length.out=100, by=1) y <- rnorm(length(x), 5,2) plot(x, y) Show for me "avi mai jui jul" as I use R with French language localization. I see in the Windows FAQ how to completely change the language of R, but I
