Locking issue with Lightroom and Photoshop
Hi folks, I have an issue at a weird confluence of macOS Mojave's "nsmb" client, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and Samba 4.7.6-Ubuntu. Since I don't have much control over Apple or Adobe software, I'm hoping there's some smb.conf magic (or other sage advice) that might help me out of this jam. For reference, Samba is configured for SMB2-only access (i.e. durable file

Photoshop leaving toolboxes behind
Hi, I was going to file a bug report for this, but I thought I'd check here first, because I'm not sure if this is a wine bug, or something to do with Photoshop or Compiz. Most times when I close Photoshop CS2, I'm getting the one or more of the tool pallets left behind on my desktop. I have found no way to get rid of them - apart from restarting the X server. I tried xkill but it

photoshop cs2 runs, but seems laggy
I just got photoshop cs2 installed and running on my system using 'sh winetricks corefonts vcrun6' and while it runs and all, it seems very choppy. I've been reading about how wine 1.0 came out with the specific purpose of photoshop running on wine/linux, and that even google has been funding this endeavor, so I would think that by wine 1.1.23 it would be running quite well. Running Photoshop on a relatively old PC
For several months I've been thinking about moving to Linux operating system. This would resque our old machine which is getting left behind when it comes to hardware (and it would also put fun back into computing). The problem is that if I convert the only machine our family has to Linux, it would mean that an important program, Photoshop, which we use everyday has to be abandoned. This

samba and photoshop
Hello all, I have a OSX server that is serving to an XP box via samba. When the user on the XP box tries to save a file out of photoshop, It errors out giving a "delay write failure" error. He can save local and then copy it to the same directory without a problem. If you open a different paint app ( or any app for that matter) on the XP box ( ex, paint or paint shop pro), it works fine.

Hi, Wine 0.9.17 user here having bad headaches with Photoshop menus... When choosing an option from the context menu or some other sorts of drop downs, the respective areas are not clickable even they are highlighted. Adobe Photoshop CS2
Here is a quote from my friend. He uses XP most of the time because he hasn't been able to get the newest Adobe Photoshop working in Debian Sarge 3.1 with Gnome. He tried both cedega and the newest version of wine to get Photoshop working. Has anyone else got it working or know about getting it working? Adobe Photoshop uses wrong permissions when saving, default ACLs and create mask being ignored.
One of our employees is having an odd problem with Adobe Photoshop. Files he saves with Photoshop are saved with permissions 777, completely ignoring both the create mask and the default ACL for the directory. Files he creates with other programs have the correct permissions. This has me stumped. It appears I can reproduce the problem at will. Client is Windows NT 4.0 SP6a and Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop CS2 Crash under Wine, "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable."
I recently came across a post (circa jan-feb 2008) where a user had encountered a fatal and unrecoverable crash when starting Photoshop for the second or subsequent time. I've noticed that this issue has happened to many people, myself included while installing it on someone's system today, and that, while there is a short-term workaround (noted below), nobody has yet posted an actual

Does any one have Photoshop CS2 working? If so, can you please, for the benefit of all of us who cant seem to get it going, post detailed instructions on what you did?
