Quota's with Thunderbird
Hi, Does anyone know how to get Thunderbird to correctly report the mailbox quota's? I know Dovecot is correctly enforcing the quotas on the mailbox when using Thunderbird, but Thunderbird reports that the "server does not support quota's" when trying to view the usage? Is Thunderbird expecting something different? Viewing the mailbox through Squirelmail, the quota's are

Asterisk stops processing SIP UDP messages
Last week I had a couple of outages one machine, the problem was that Asterisk suddly stopped responding to UDP SIP requests. tcpdump show requests arriving on the machine, sip debug log in asterisk doesn't show anything for the UDP peers, TCP functions just fine. In all 3 cases the log is something like below, a +/- 10m gap in any SIP/UDP related traffic in the logs, followed by a bunch of

Valve Steam -- Virtual Desktop Question
Is it possible to run steam like normal, in gnome, and have the games it launches run in virtual desktop mode? I only particularly want this with Dead Space 2, as it has problems not running in VD mode.I have tried to set Steam.exe as non virtual desktop, and deadspace2.exe as virtual desktop, but it just launches DS2 in the gnome environment. tl;dr Can I have an app running in Gnome desktop

Vary an equation using values from a sequence
Hi All, I have a vector of data on which I am operating. The equation with which I want to operate on the vector has a value k. I want to run the equation and output a new vector, each time replacing k with each value from the sequence I defined. I have thought about using for loops and such, but this seems like overkill. I am wondering if there is a simple solution that would allow me to

C 7, lockd issue
I thnk I posted this last week, but to refresh your minds (for Americans, after all the turkey): two C7 boxes, updated. box 1 is exporting directories; box 2 is not running nfs. From box 1, every minute, I get <...> kernel: lockd: server fred.local not responding, timed out Now, on box 2, fred is eth0:fred, and is one of five secondaries on eth0. When I do an ip a, it shows as the last

(g)lm ordinal or scaled values?
There is a difference in the p- value from 0.000 and 0.012 when I am using SPSS. 0.000 when I am using the independent variable as scaled 0.012 if I am using the variable as ordinal. The independent variable is ordinal but it seems that R is using the variable as an scaled, because the P- Value is computed with 4.66e-06 so I am not sure which description I am misunderstanding: SPSS;:

Certain Steam games won't launch
I did some moderate searching and didn't see my problem, so I'll post it here, as I believe it's a Wine problem (although it's very possible it's not, Ubuntu is an interesting beast XD). About... oh, I'd say 3 weeks ago, I tried to open Garry's Mod and it said "launching", and the launching window closed as normal, but then nothing happened after that. This

How To Get Games on Steam?
I'm about to try out Team Fortress 2 because my friends wanted me to join in with them, and I'm using Wine to run Steam. However, because I'm new to this Steam business and everything, I'm just curious -- how do I install a game using Steam as the AppDB says? Or, how do I move TF2 files to this "steamapps" folder, and if that is the preferred method, how can I get the

Vary an equation using values from a sequence
I thnk what you want is ?outer. e.g.: outer(Data -min(Data),value,FUN = "+") Whether this works for your real task, however, may depend on details and complexities that you have omitted. File Corruption in NT workstation but not Win95
Hi again folks... Just when I thought I had everything working great with samba mounts on an AIX 4.3 machine (after a lot of testing with a Win95 box), I went to do something quickly on a NT 4.0 workstation. I had some intallation programs in the shared directory that I had used to install programs on the Win95. No problem. I ran over to my boss' NT 4.0 workstation, opened the shared
