Gamepad missing buttons
I am trying to use a Guillemot gamepad with PES6 but the buttons are not recognized.
In kubuntu system settings I can see my pad, callibrate the joysticks and see the buttons are recognized, but not inside wine (only the joysticks are recognized).
I have tried different combinations for the DirectInput entry in the registry but either I have not stumbled upon the correct one or there is another

dinput_test works but WINEDEBUG shows no joystick for game?
This is a continuation/evolution of what I've been trying to do, get some response from my controller(s) in Guitar Hero 3. I compiled wine (with some help :) and manually copied the dinput_test.exe.so file into my /usr/lib32/wine directory and made it's permissions match the other exe.so files (644). I then run the test to see if dinput is seeing/reacting to my controller, and it seems

Noob trying to ./configure Wine source, config.log error
I've been searching here and at the ubuntu forums and can't seem to find a solution, I think it's pretty simple though. I've checked for libc6 and libc6-dev and they both appear to be installed, IIRC they fixed a previous ./configure issue I had with some other source.

Xbox 1 gamepad not detected with Star Trek Online game
Hello, I am having a problem with Star Trek Online game.
I am running this game on an Archlinux x86_64 system with wine 1.5.3.
Recently I decided to try playing this game with one of my old but still working xbox 1 gamepads. For that purpose, I installed the xboxdrv (the userspace driver for xbox 360 and 1 gamepads) and after running xboxdrv with the command xboxdrv --silent --trigger-as-button, I

Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad
Hi,
I have a problem with this particular gamepad. I calibrated it under linux with jscal and it is working OK. But now I want to play FIFA with it and fifa don't detect it as Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad but as controler.
I found wine registry tips and followed their guide for DirectInput but I have a problem because command specified there doesn't give the expected output:

Disabling a gamepad
I'm using a ps3 gamepad to play windows games using wine, and in almost every game tried (devil may cry 4, grid wars, trackmania nations forever), wine does some ridiculous thing with constantly making everything go left. (I imagine it's an issue with the left thumbstick mapping. I have tried with multiple PS3 controllers and can confirm it's not a hardware issue).
Anyway, the going

Gamepad Support
Hello,
I have a big problem: I recently bought a gamepad (Speedlink) which is perfectly supported by Mafia - The city of Lost Heaven. But now, I tried it with several other games (18 wheels of steel, Farming Simulator 2011), but it is not recognized.
Farming Sim 2011 doesn't recognize any button or axis pressed.
18 WoS - Pedal to the metal does recognize the gamepad itself (even twice), but

Disabling a gamepad in wine
Is there a way to disable a gamepad within wine? When running a dinput application with "WINEDEBUG=+dinput" it seems that wine is using the "Wine Linux-input joystick driver" to find my gamepad as /dev/input/event7, and then later it appears that the "Wine Linux joystick driver" is finding my gamepad as /dev/input/js0, making my actions doubled in dinput

Playing Rage (Steam version) with a gamepad
I'm playing the newly released game Rage by id software on my Arch Linux 64 bit box and runs quite nicely. I was beginning to wonder if it would be possible to ply the game with controller/gamepad? What is possible/easiest to set up with wine? I have an ps3 controller could that do the job or would it be easier to get an xbox 360 controller or a completely different gamepad? Any suggestions

mac wine gamepad issues
I finally found a way to run epsxe on mac os without virtualization! Hurray! For that I would like to thank the Wine development team. Now onto my question.
I cannot get epsxe to recognize my gamepad, yet it will let me assign keys on the keyboard. Any ideas?

Gamepad & Wine 1.0.1-2 on Debian Sid
Hi, I need you help.
I've been reading and searching on Google for a while know to try to get my gamepad (joystick, whatever) to work. Of course that the gamepad works fine under GNU/linux natives apps, like ZNES.
First of all, is not a gamepad or joystick actually, it's an adaptor that lets me connect 2 PSII joysticks in one USB port.
The module I'm using is joydev, and I'm

Re: Gamepad Support
try to use qjoypad from source forge
it can let you map your gamepad buttons to keyboard strokes
i play with no problem at all with Farming Simulator 2011
only pity so qjoypad can't allows you to map button+button or button+axis
you can only map single button or single axis to keyboard

A couple of gamepad-related issues
Hi there! I'm a big fan of the wine project, as it's helped me since day one with making my transition into linux a much more smooth and enjoyable process. I still use it even now to run many of the apps I need for school, and (of course) for gaming. It seems that with every release more and more tiny problems get ironed out, and it's wonderful to be a part of that process. One thing

Gamepad calibration? Some bits not working...
Is there a way to calibrate gamepads for wine?
I have managed to get my PS3 sixaxis working, but when I play a game, everything works properly but the analogue stick. If I move it all the way to the right or down, it goes in the opposite direction, respectively.
Anyone know how I might fix this?

DInput/Gamepad issue with ePSXe.
I have a standard PS1 controller hooked up via a radioshack PSX to USB converter. For some reason, only the Up and Left buttons on the D-Pad work. Here's the error output.

Getting gamepad to work, detection problems.
Hi I recently got my PS3 sixaxis working and its under /dev/input/js1.
I am now running ubuntu hardy.
It doesn't operate in wine games etc so I need to edit the registry using <joystick name> = <axes mapping> in "directinput"
In http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys it says to use the command:
Code:
WINEDEBUG=+dinput wine program.exe 2>&1 | grep

Switching to git (Windows experience) (was re:[cfe-dev] GitHub anyone?)
One of the things that may taint my prior analysis...
At the time I was last evaluating Windows git GUIs, I was looking for
something that would make handling .patch and .diff files easier. In
particular, if a patch didn't apply, I really wanted to get some visual
indication of which hunk failed, and some interface to resolve the
conflict. I didn't find any tools that handled that

Sourcetree is pretty good on windows, and I hear ok things about Git Extensions. I have not used the GitHub app though.
I typically use Sourcetree to view the logs, and command line for everything else.
