mosaic plot of "vcd" package does not stretch with 2-dimension?
Hi, I like mosaic function of "vcd" package. I have played around it. I have found out that mosaic plot data table is 2-dimension does not stretch when you enlarge a mosaic plot. It is okay when data table is 3 or more dimension. The first one is of 3-dimension table case, and the second one is 2-dimension. With the first plot, you can drag window to enlarge a plot. With the

Enlarge ext3 Logical Volume (Filesystem) in a volume group (LVM)
Anybody know a way to enlarge a filesystem ext3 without having to unmounted it, when they are still space left in the volume group (when using LVM) ? I will be running large production linux system running Oracle. I can't stop the database everytime I have to enlarge a filesystem. We can do it with all others filesystems (JFS, REISERSFS and XFS) when they are created in a volume group. Why

resizing partition
I'm going to have to resize a partition (shrink it) to make room for more swap space. This is actually not too big of a deal, since we're not talking about a "system" partition (/, /var, /usr, etc), but one where an application resides. So I won't even have to go to "rescue" mode to do this. I can umount this thing live. (and since I'm working on it remotely,

How do I resize a Physical Partition in a Dom U that''s "on" a Logical Volume in the Dom 0?
Hey all, I''m trying to figure out how to re-size physical partitions in the Dom U. I''ve read up what I can find on line and finally decided to have Logical Volumes in the Dom 0 and pass them as physical volumes for use in the Dom U. Here''s an example of what I''m doing. To start in the Dom 0 I created the LV''s with lvcreate -n guest_boot -L 100M

Setting fontsize in dev.copy2eps
I have a figure on screen with a legend. I want to copy this image to EPS, and use: dev.copy2eps(file="file1.eps", width=5, height=5) The legend that looks OK on screen doesn't look OK in the PostScript image: the text extends out of the box. I try adding a fontsize command: dev.copy2eps(file="file1.eps", width=5, height=5, pointsize=5) This options seems to

change legend character size in image.plot
I'm using the image.plot() function (fields package), but I want to enlarge the characters of the legend (as they are too small to be read in a combined figure), but there is no way I can find a command to do this. I can enlarge the legend bar (with legend.witdh), axis character size (cex.axis) or the total legend size (legend.shrink), but not the character size of the legend characters

Resize command syntax wrong?
Currently the resize command is under filesystem, and takes a path to the mounted filesystem. This seems wrong to me. Shouldn''t it be under device, and take a path to a device to resize? Otherwise, how can a resize operation when you have multiple devices make any sense? -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-btrfs" in the body of a message to

large fonts on plots
Hi all, I need to enlarge te fonts used oo R-plots (plots, histograms, ...) in labels and titles etc. I seem to be unable to figure out how to do it. The problem is that the titles of the plots are simply unreadable when I insert them into my LaTeX text, since they are relatively small compared to the entire plot. I am sure it is pretty simple, can anybody give me a hint ? Please reply

Btrfs resize problem after device add/delete
I create a new btrfs filesystem and then add a new device and delete the original device. When I run ''btrfs filesystem show'', the total device is two and there is an error that some devices are missing. I also tried to resize the filesystem but didn''t work. Resizing without device id have an error that there is no such device. When the device id is explicitly pass, an

enlarging partition and its filesystem
Hi all! I've got a VM at work running C6 on HyperV (no, its not my fault, that's what the company uses. I'd rather gag myself than own one of th ose things.) I ran out of disk space in the VM, so the admin enlarged the virtual disk. but now I realize I don't know how to enlarge the partition and its filesystem. I'll be googling, but in case I miss it, it'd be great if

Howto enlarge fonts size in R- Graphics?
Hi, I am fairly new to GNU R ! At the moment I am doing an intensive learning on the basics of GNU R-1.91, especially graphics like plots and alike, by reading the introductory docs! Well, except some occasional glitches (X11 output errors) everything seems to be fine, thanks to developers for this fine program! But there is a slight problem with the size of fonts in graphics, i.e. its very

Wine and Legacy 6.0 Genealogy Program
Has anyone had any positive experience in installing the Legacy 6.0 genealogy program? The only instances I have found appear to be quite negative - to which I can attest; however, I would like to run Legacy 6.0 thru Wine in my Ubuntu OS if at all possible as opposed to using GRAMPS (a great program, but uploading a GEDCOM from Legacy 6.0 from Windoze Legacy has not been without major issues).

Increase the size of the boxes but not the text in a legend
HI there, I want to add a legend to a plot using the density and angle argument, so patterns with lines in different angles are used in the plot and should be referred to. When I use default settings, the filled boxes are too small. With the cex argument I can enlarge the whole legend, but then the text gets too big. How could I just increase the size of the single boxes and not the text. I

[LLVMdev] Mutating the elements of a ConstantArray
Hello, I need to append something to the global "llvm.global_ctors". This variable may or may not already be declared within the current module. If I lookup the global variable, I see that it supports a getOperand(i) and setOperand(i,c), but does not support any way that I can enlarge that array to add a new record. Any suggestions? -- Nick Johnson
