[WoW + ATI HD 3850 + Hardy] Text problem
Hello,
I've update my Ubuntu Gutsy to Hardy (7.10 -> 8.04) and Wine 0.9.somthing to wine-1.0-rc4. I've the lastest ATI proprietary driver installed.
Before, I could run WoW without any problem in OpenGL except the buggy minimap when I entered in a closed area map (a tavern, or a cavern, etc.), the minimap became blank... (config: Gutsy, Wine 0.9.6, ATI Catalyst 8.1).
Now, when I

Ubuntu and sources.list question about mirror sites...
Evening all:
Thought I'd announce myself with a question about setting up
sources.list to be able to begin download and install of R.
Running version 7.10 of Ubuntu. (Tried 8.04 but found it slow and
finicky with my hardware. Perhaps will try 8.10 or above, but that's a
thought for another time.)
Followed the notes on the R site and added the following lines to my
sources.list:

Lotus Notes and Compiz under Ubuntu
I installed Lotus Notes 7.0.3 and have configured the nlnotes.exe app with "Allow the window manager to control the windows" option. My current Wine version is 0.9.59 and I'm currently running under the Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 release and I have Compiz enabled and 4 virtual workspaces.
When I start Notes on one of the virtual workspaces, login, and leave it running.. The moment I switch

Anyone have experience getting Poser 7 to work?
Hi,
I just installed the latest wine and got all kinds of software to work on my box, which is really cool!
I'm having trouble with Poser 7, though. I've successfully installed it, and can mostly run it, but it seems like a lot of the windows within tend to disappear mysteriously when clicking outside of them. They come back if you click the right widget, but I find it highly intrusive,

Wine under ubuntu hardy
Hi, just a quick question if I could...
When will there be a hardy repository for wine? Presently, I'm usingthe gutsy one and it works just fine, but I see there is a repository for each version so far, so will there be one for hardy as well?

Odd display problem for 0.9.59/60

youtube.com complains about old version on 64 bit ubuntu gutsy
I read on lwn.net that swfdec has support for watching youtube.com
videos. Good work! I have not been able to get the Adobe 32-bit mozilla
plugin working under 64-bit gutsy so I figured I'd give swfdec a go.
A quick search of the archives and bugzilla turns up nothing obviously
similar to my problem.

Cannot open file in NTFS filesystem on Ubuntu Hardy Heron
I am trying to run an old version of Family Tree Maker for Windows. I got it working on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, but when I switched to Hard Heron it stopped working.
Specifically when I use the file open dialog to select the database to open I am able to navigate through the Unix directory tree down to the file, but when I request the application to open the selected file I get an error message

Eve Premium Graphics Corruption
A picture is worth a thousand words:

The black columns are supposed to be spot lights on the ship in the middle. I haven't tried eve premium before 0.9.60, however, people claim that it didn't have this problem in 0.9.58.
Here is a link to the thread in eve online:

I am unable to install the programme from photobook.com.my on my Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy with wine 1.0. Can someone help on this?
The wine is set default to WinXP and there is nothing in new override for library.
Below is the output:
