I am trying to install 5.2 on a new dv7z hp laptop. I use "linux noapic nolapic iommu=off " and I get a kernel dump on rtl8169. I dont need the network to install? how do I ignore the rtl8169 to install. I tried noprobe and then it doesnt recognize my SATA HD controller and I dont know yet which driver to select as I cant do an lspci to see??? THanks, Jerry

Hello :-) On my Dell Latitude D620 I have a bla(c/n)k screen after I close display and open it again. I cannot use this machine anymore as it was working on plaintext console (no xorg). What should I do to make screen return after display is closed and opened again? Should I load apm module or something similar or is this the display driver problem? Hi, I am trying to boot Xen on top of a simulator. I am having problems with the APIC module in my simulator, not related to Xen. So, I want to boot Xen without APIC support. I've got a Dell Latitude D620, dell docking station and a Dell 2007WFP (20" widescreen lcd). With XP I had the laptop screen and the lcd working as dual screens.
