Debian....0.9.61.... and crooked hands
Because from times of 0.9.58 version nobody makes packages for Debian, I decided to compile 61st ver myself... Compiling passed smoothly. But there are no Russian fonts. In place of the Russian letters there are rectangles. Amount of startable programs diminished notedly... Can you explain how to manage with fonts.... Request for moderation: mailing lists winehq
Hello all, we're seeking people that could do our mailing list moderation, since we're getting about 15 to 20 spam bounces per day on our mailing lists (wine-announce, wine-bugs, wine-cvs, wine-devel, wine-patches, wine-users). Needless to say this amount has increased since we started doing it. Currently Ove Kaaven and me do the moderation stuff for all the mails that bounced due to the

Question regarding dependencies for Wine 1.1.1
Hi, I am new to Wine and somewhat to Linux. I am running DreamLinux (DL) which to the best of my knowledge is based on Debian. Currently I have Wine 1.0.0 installed with no Windows application installed on it yet. I would like to install M$ Office 2007 and reading the news on the WineHQ homepage it said that Wine 1.1.1 was released with fixes to M$ Office 2007, so I figured I should upgrade

ASUS Eee R cookbook
Hi all, Having seen a few messages regarding the ASUS Eee PC (p701) and R, and then buying one and trying to get R installed on it, I thought there might be a few people on the list who would appreciate a cookbook on how to do it. It's a nice little piece of machinery, running Xandros 4 Linux (seems to be compatible with Debian Etch) and set up for the person who wants to do all those

Upgrading R packages on Etch
Greetings, I've been trying to upgrade R packages on my Debian Etch (whose other upgrades I have been cheerfully going along with as they occur). When I did, just now: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade I got: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Calculating upgrade... Done The following packages have been kept back: r-base-core r-cran-boot r-cran-cluster

X11: Oracle Forms runs fine locally, but not remotely
There is some difference in the keyboard defs, though not much. Latest on Abacus DPMI problem.
I contacted Mr. Heinonen, and got the response below. So, he says the problem is, it is 16 bit DPMI, which is rare, and the real problem is, DOSVM has a bug which allows two simultaneous interrupts. I assured him I was not asking anyone to work on the problem at all. I needed to get a handle on it, I had thought it was a locked selector problem. Learning what the real problem was, is a big
