VFW Codec
Hi everybody, I'm currently writing a real time video conferencing tool for Windows and I want to use the Theora Library for this purpose. My questions are: 1.) is there a vfw implementation of theora 2.) if no, can I bundle the VP3 vfw codec that's available from On2's website with my application Best regards, Florian (Stuttgart, Germany)

I need the libs to run cinelerra: [ryan at dorje]# cinelerra cinelerra: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.4' not found (required by cinelerra) An: "rpm -q -i --provides -l libstdc++-3.4.4-2" returns: (A bunch of stuff....)

Kino exports in theora format
Kino, a non-linear video editor for Linux, now exports in ogg theora format. I just posted a feature request at http://kino.schirmacher.de/ for a future version of Kino to edit video in native ogg theora format in addition to dv format. John

TMpeg and Wine
Hello! Under wine - dosen't matter if I use the original Windows as guest windows or if I use a fake-windows - TMpeg can't find any installed codec. Even of I only want to convert a MPEG1 file (for example NTSC-VCD to Pal-VCD) it says "File "C:\...... can not open, or unsupported." Anyone who uses TMepg under Linux? Any ideas? Or any alternative Software, that runs?

I need a package updated...
...Where do I go? Hi please forgive me if I missed something obvious, but I've been reading and searching for a couple days to no avail. I'm trying to get the latest cinelerra running on CentOS4.1 on a dual Xeon machine. I need: cinelerra: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.4' not found (required by cinelerra) (x86_64) and apparently the latest available is:

Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec
My concern is primarly the 'marketing' aspect. If UCI, or MCF, or any other interface, is adopted by the toolmakers, then that's a perfectly good solution. <p>-----Original Message----- From: Christian HJ Wiesner [mailto:christian.hj.wiesner@web.de] Sent: Tue 11/12/2002 10:10 AM To: theora-dev@xiph.org Cc: Subject: [theora-dev] Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec

Proxy rendering of 4K
Hi everyone. I have used cinelerra for several years and love the application, so thanks to all for the hard work. I recently started to edit 4K footage from a Canon 1DX Mk 2. This is obviously very slow even with a six core processor. So I am required to use proxy files to speed things up. This worked with fedora 28. However I have changed to Centos 7.5 and now have an issue, the proxy files

building cinelerra on CentOS 5
I have just built cinelerra on CentOS 5 x86_64 and thought I should share my notes here for people who need it but cannot wait for the package to become available on rpmforge/dag. - Install the src.rpm for FC6 - Edit the .spec file and change the line BuildRequires: OpenEXR-devel to BuildRequires: openexr-devel - Create a symlink: ln -s /usr/include/OpenEXR /usr/include/openexr - Run

Setup.exe error and mapping drives
Hi All, I have two questions, but first I am using wine 20040615, on Mandrake 10.0 Community 1. I have two programs previously installed under Windows that I have just made desktop icons for in Mandrake to run them under WINE. I did this as I am dual booting the system currently rather than install them under WINE. Both are for video editing/encoding. TMPEG Encoder and DVD Author. They

Theora branch and win/mac codecs
My understanding -- Monty or Emmett, feel free to chime in if you think this is incorrect -- is as follows: www.theora.org is the home for all new releases of the Theora video codec (formally known as VP3). This includes the main OGG/Vorbis integration product, which Monty is working on personally, as well as the QT and Windows codecs, both legacy VP3 versions and new versions reflecting any

Problem with confint function
Hi, I am currently doing logistic regression analyses and I am trying to get confidence intervals for my partial logistic regression coefficients. Supposing I am right in assuming that the formula to estimate a 95% CI for a log odds coefficient is the following: log odds - 1.96*SE to log odds + 1.96*SE then I am not getting the right CI. For instance, this is a summary of my model:

Runnning R remotely
Hi, I was wondering if anyone might be able to help. I am trying to run R on a remote machine, part of the model run I am attempting writes an external file output as a png (about 48 iterations per model run). I am running R 1.9.1 on SuSe9.0, and am accessing this via ssh from a Debian machine. Initially I used the command ssh -X IP.address and whilst I was able to run the model successfully the
