I bought original Max Payne but Wine have problems with detecting discs so I had to use a crack.When I try to start the game window that says "MaxPayne.exe encountered a serious problem and had to be closed".I tried the other crack but It was exactly the same.I'm using Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

I would know what is needed to get MIDI playing into wine. I know I must have a card that supports it :). Must I change something into the registry (I have read the docu but it doesnt help), into .wine/config ? Do some drivers have to be loaded ? Has someone a small/big application to test it ? I used to play GTA3 with only a few minor niggles a while back and thought I'd give it a try with the most recent version of wine. I decided to do a full test, from installing to actually playing the game. When I try to start notepad, it starts with a grayed title bar, like it wasnt active. I cant enter text into the input window. Strange thing, menus work. To get it look like active and type text, I must select the system menu and "About wine". After closing the new window (that has appeared as active), i see that notepad appears active and I can enter text. Has someone this issue ?

Hi I'm trying to run Max Payne in Ubuntu 11.04. It installs fine and I have patched it whithout problems. But when I try to run it it says 'Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application', even though the cd is already in the drive. Is there something I can do to avoid this?
