Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
Hi, I hope this is the correct mailing list to send to. Basically I have just put in a full Linux computer suite in the school I work at. The problem is they need the Macromedia Suite for their 6th form students. As I couldn't get MX2004 to work at all I have 'downgraded' to MX. Fireworks, Freehand and Flash MX all work perfectly! But... Dreamweaver does not. What happens is I run

DCOM95 or DCOM98
Hi, Tons of instalation (and probably applications too) needs DCOM to install. There are 2 availables DCOM to be installed DCOM95 and DCOM98. Both with version 1.3 . Most documentations on wine say that wine is more likely to work with windows 98 (as the C:\ ). However, most guides to specific applications like office, dreamweaver, corel draw say that DCOM95 should be installed. usually

New dcom95 mirror
Hello, as Jeremy Newman wanted mirrors for dcom95, here's a new link http://www003.portalis.it/115/download/dcom95.zip Note that because of the Microsoft licencing conditions, you are licenced to download this file only if you are going to use it with wine. Ivan.

dcom95
Trying to run some software. During install it says it needs DCOM95 and attempts to install. Then it halts and tells me DCOM95 is only for Win95, download the latest service pack. How do I proceed? I'd RTFM, but I don't have a clue in the world where it is.

symlink-hack for smbfs under linux
I've programmed a quick-and-dirty version of symlinks for smbfs. This hack uses the system attribute and otherwise works much like the ncpfs-hack, that is to say, I write the magic cookie at the beginning of the file. Of course the server has to map the system attribute, which samba notably doesn't do by default. smb.conf entries of "map system = yes" and "create mask =

Quickbooks Pro 2003 installed will not run
This is my first attempt at using wine and crossover. I want to run two applications Quicken Premier 2003 and Quickbooks Pro 2003. I first tried installing with just wine, wine-20050524-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm, and ran into immediate install failures with Quicken. So I down loaded crossover's trial version and have installed both applications. Quicken seems to be completely functional, did see

DCOM9x - Is it used only for instalation or running?
Hi all, I have a doubt: is the DCOM95/DCOM98 used only for instalation purposes or it is used for the running process to do something? I'm asking this because we have equal workstations that we could just install wine, configure it the same way and put only the apps we want to run but without DCOM9x because it requires a Windows license. Is that possible? I mean I could use only one
