Problems with installing
Hi! I'm having problems with installing Wine. I have downloaded Wine from CVS, and tried to install it with tools/wineinstall, but got some errors. This comes from my shell: [wayne@wayne wine]$ ./tools/wineinstall WINE Installer v0.73 I see that WINE has already been configured, so I'll skip that. We need to install wine as root user, do you want us to build wine, 'su root'

Trying to test with 2.6.0-test2
Hi folks, I haven't tested initramfs with klibc before and am having trouble getting going. I tried to pull from the klibc-2.5 bk repository but it doesn't merge with 2.6t2. Also i downloaded the .80 version and tried to compile but got a stream of errors and warnings. It looks like it needs to be compiled from within the kernel tree but i couldn't find any docs about the

DDE problems
Hi! I started using wine (wine-20020122 compiled from source tarball) a couple of weeks ago to run a store-point-of-sale application. The idea is to port this windows application to linux. Before porting, we decided to check if the app could be emulated on linux with wine or recompiled with winelib. This is also necessary to run proprietary windows DLLs from third parties such as credit card

I'm running: the latest wine release (20020228) Redhat 7.2 gcc 2.96-98 fake windows dir (altough I have tried it with a win98 install a month ago) The installer is an installshild with win16 libs. Sorry to bug everyone. I can't find the messages about this one any more. I had codeweavers 20010305 installed and our application sort of running under it. I wanted

klibc 0.57 trouble
Hi, I just tried compiling the latest release, but found some new problems: - Some versions of binutils could not link any shared binaries. One example for a broken version is 2.11.92.0.12.3, while 2.13.90.0.4 works. The error message looks like: tests/nfs_no_rpc.o: In function `root_nfs_parse': tests/nfs_no_rpc.o(.text+0x8): undefined reference to `strchr'

xmms module update
Since the decoding went so much faster, I actually listened to the song I encoded all the way to the end, at which point the thing segv'd. Through a little easter egging, I managed to trace the problem down to a call to vorbis_dsp_clear(). I've just commented it out in the current source. As to why it's segving I am uncertain, but, save possible memory leaks, everything seems to be

libntdll.dll.so
Hello, I am quite new in this, and I have not been able to figure out what the problem can be after looking at the documentation for quite a long time. I guess that it will be a stupid mistake, though. I have RedHat9.0 and have installed wine with the .rpm for this distribution available at sourceforge.net. When I try to execute the binaries 'wine' or 'winecfg' I get the
