addenda to wordperfect
I did find a say to get to the directory holding wpwin9 and it strarted but then froze with the splash screen. Not sure how to get the error message in here; seems to have to do with the keyboard and X11driver; hope I am abusing this bulletin board, but I am hoping someone can help me with the next step. Thanks

WordPerfect--any version working?
Has anyone gotten any version of WordPerfect working in Wine? Please let me know, and if you have a version that works, could you let me have a copy? (I have WP X3, X4, and X5, and Wine 1.4.1, which I know is not the latest, but is the latest in the PCLOS repo.) When I tried recently, none would install. HELP! LibreOffice just doesn't cut it, and I could send you a file to prove it.

Corel WordPerfect 11 & 12
I have loaded Corel WordPerfect 11 & 12 on Kubuntu Feisty Fawn with Wine 0.9.40. Except for one serious issue (and another less serious), the entire office suite seems to work without a glitch. The problem I have is that when any of the Corel Applications are pointed at a file to open that, it just dies. To test it, I had to copy/paste data and documents into a new file and then save

wordperfect
I have managed to mostly install wpwin9 into fake windows. I freeze near the end at the "self registering" screen (cdrhlp90.dll), but the install log seems to find everything there. But wine will not run WP, says cannot find wpwin9.exe. I can find it in fake_windows using Nautilus; otherwise cannot get there by using cd since it seems to be unable to cd into "WorPerfect

Updating WordPerfect Office
The version of Wine that ships with WPOffice 9 is getting pretty creaky. As far as I can tell, Corel doesn't have any updates on their site, but as far as I know there's no reason that someone couldn't update their version. Anyone have any luck with this? I'm still trying to reproduce their build parameters. -- | I'm old enough that I don't have to pretend to be grown

Corel WordPerfect Suite (6.1) for Windows 3.1
I can't quite get this to work. Installation complains that: COMPOBJ.201 COMPOBJ.207 are not implemented, but almost finished OK so it may be installed OK. Except that it can't appear to find the DLLs that come with it. Runnint the installation over, it complains that it can't read the DLLs if they are installed. Then when I try to execute WP, I get an error that it can't

Wine Install and Uninstall Problems
Greetings all. I have been running Wine under Kubuntu Feisty for about the last four months, keeping it updated with the latest wine releases on a weekly basis, I use it to run WordPerfect. Whilst WordPerfect didn't run flawlessly, I got it to work well enough to edit and save documents I work on at home. In four months none of the updates to Wine changed anything in how WordPerfect

Quickbooks Pro works on Corel Wine
Quickbooks Pro works Purrrrrfectly on Corel Wine. It looks good, works good and prints good. The only caveat is that when it is running, you cannot launch Wordperfect as well - it is an either or situation. Cheers, Herman http://www.AerospaceSoftware.com Aerospace Software Ltd. Default Format for Dates?
Is there anyway to preset date formats? I have a date from a cover.dbf that is shown as this: > cover$FINALREPOR [1] "2003-06-24" The numeric value in cover$FINALREPOR is 12227. I'd rather not create another vector to hold the properly formatted date. When I put this in a WordPerfect merge, I want the date to be June 24, 2003. I could take care of the problem in a

Boost Polycom IP601 headset volume
Hi everyone, I have a user that needs a little extra volume on his Polycom IP 601 phone set for all calls (beyond what the volume control currently offers). Is there a provisioning setting for this anywhere? (I'd like to avoid a separate amplifier between the phone and handset if possible.) Alternatively, is there a way to have Asterisk 1.4.x boost the volume to a particular SIP device

Calling ex Corel people now working here.
Hello, I am an InfoCentral fan. Infocentral was a product that was originally developed by Novell - I think - and when Corel bought the WordPerfect suite from them, it came into Corel's hands. InfoCentral is a PIM and is totally flexible where each thing is treated as an object. Basically its a database that can handle objects and links between objects. It is entirely customisable to your
