Has anyone got this to work? I'm running Codeweavers preview 5 on Mandrake 8.1 on Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop, and manage to raise the splash screen which promptly disappears and all activity ceases. Abiword as test of Wine
One problem with Wine has been that there were few serious open source win32 applications out there to test Wine with (ok, maybe my opinions are from 1997 :-) In any case, we have some great open source Win32 applications to test with. AbiWord is one. I just tried installing AbiWord 0.9 under the latest Codeweavers preview. The install worked -- but generated about a billion warnings of the

Problem with Metatag update
Hi, first of all, thank you all. The new Icecast version works very well and the new features are great! But I have some troubles with the metatag update via the admininterface. Basically everything works fine, but only WinAmp is displaying the titles correct. Windows Media Player isn't displaying them at all, XMMS only displays them when the ID3 tag changes for about 3 seconds and

Wine'ing Windows Terminal Server Client
I've tried multiple ways to get into terminal server via WINE, but have had no success. I've got Notes, Service Center, Internet Explorer... pretty much all running smoothly... but when I try to use Internet explorer to get into it, I get a box that is outlined where the desktop is supposed to be (on the IE screen, and an object load error in the IE Log)... I then tried to run mstsc.exe

Codeweaver's Wine - Autolaunch?
I had a little trouble installing WINE and, becuase of that, tried several different versions. It turned out the sound trouble was not a WINE issue, but a devfs issue, so I deactivated devfs (devfs=nomount). I am using the latest RPM of Codeweaver's WINE with Mandrake 8.1. I've got Codeweaver's WINE up and running now. When I first tried this, I could type a win .exe file from

Questions about W2K
I have a windows application that I need to have access to (so that I can keep my wife happy with using linux)... I have tried the downloaded version of Wine, and also recently loaded the CodeWeaver's Wine. I like some of the features with the CodeWeaver's version (it included the setup util)... However, I can't seem to get the windows application to run. It launches a Dr. Watson

Please quit publishing my e-mail address
Due to a up-tick in the amount of SPAM my account has been receiving, I googled my e-mail address, and discovered that my e-mail address, along with the e-mail addresses of many subscribers to the SAMBA mailing list (samba at lists.samba.org) are being published in a harvestable form on your website. Specifically, this page: http://omgili.com/usrmgr.exe-, although there may be more instances.

Damn itcl to hell.
Hi, Sorry to bug people with this what must be a very trivial question. I've got a Mandrake 8.0 installation and have been trying in vain to get CodeWeavers Wine (preview #3) installed. I've downloaded and installed the 'blessed' version of itcl from the CodeWeaver's website (itcl-8.3.2-7mdk.i586.rpm) and am still getting the itcl not found error when I try to run winesetup.

Problem with publishing subclasses by AWS API specification
Hi, I''m quite new to Rails and have a problem with the use of AWS. The Problem is, that I have a class which provides some basic attributes and some subclasses of this with more specific attributes. I want to send objects of those classes through SOAP by a remote client, but if I specify just the base class in the method signature of my API definition the generated WSDL file will

best practice for publishing modules that use Hiera?
I''ve begun moving some of my modules the using hiera lookups in place of parameters being defined in a host''s node entry. For data such as that I figure I can document the format of what the module expects from the yaml files, but if I use hiera to replace the typical "module::params", how do I include that in a published module? All the docs I''ve seen
