Hallo, i need some clarity about this is at all possible with wine or not. I have a 3rd party 16-bit DLL that is actually a driver for an external device. Is it possible to write a program in Linux that uses this DLL? I've seen something about winelib that is responsible for DLLs but I have not found out whether this can be done and if so, how. Help! I'm having a problem that I'm not sure the cause of. I've never had a problem with wineinstall until recently. I have full read/write access to my Windows partition and wineinstall can see it. This may be a stupid question, but does anybody know why the Wine version of notepad won't run on Windows? I get the error that it is not a valid Win32 application when I try to run it. Shouldn't it be able to run in Windows or Wine seamlessly? The Microsoft version of notepad runs in both, so what's special (or not) about Wine notepad? John
