winesetup
Hello! I have just compiled and installed wine-2001-07-31 (from tar.gzipped source) and it works fine. But I cannot find the winesetup programm which makes setup much more comfortable. I am new to wine; I've used rpm-package on a different system where winesetup was automatically installed. Is winesetup not part of wine-2001-07-31? Or do I have it and just did not install it? Where can

Wine Setup
I am a complete newbie to Wine. I am aware of the wonderful things OTHER people can get it to do as far as running MS apps, but I have never had such sucess. The last attempt to run "winesetup" as root was met with the following: debian:/home/tilleyrw# whoami root debian:/home/tilleyrw# winesetup Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: Client is not authorized

codeweavers-wine:itcl problem
codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 hung during install (rpm) at the creation of KDE/Gnome menus; since I don't use either, I thought, no prob and ran winesetup from Blackbox. I skipped re-making the links on starting winesetup and went right for the configuration. which also failed. This is the message it generated: Error: Invoking 'wish Main.itcl' in /opt/wine/bin/winesetuptk

Wine on RedHat 7.2
Hi, I'm a bit of a Linux newb, so please excuse me if I'm missing the obvious. I installed RedHat 7.2, and downloaded the latest rpm for Wine (linked to from WineHQ). I have read the docs, and put together what at least should be a working config. When I try to run Wine from the command line, I get an error: error while loading shared libraries: libntdll.so: cannot open shared object

Damn itcl to hell.
Hi, Sorry to bug people with this what must be a very trivial question. I've got a Mandrake 8.0 installation and have been trying in vain to get CodeWeavers Wine (preview #3) installed. I've downloaded and installed the 'blessed' version of itcl from the CodeWeaver's website (itcl-8.3.2-7mdk.i586.rpm) and am still getting the itcl not found error when I try to run winesetup.

I have recently added the appropriate lines to my sources.list and done an apt-get install wine, read the included documentation, and run winesetup. Here are the results: tilleyrw@debian:~$ wine Warning: The Wine launcher is unable to find xmessage. This launcher script relies heavily on finding this tool, and without it, it will behave poorly. Problem Starting Wine
I have a Debian testing box with a 2.4.26 kernel. I used apt-get to install wine, wine-doc and winesetup. Setup detected all the drives and paths on my system but when I tried to run a program with the command wine g:\\bridge\\mike (Mike Lawrence's Counting at Bridge - a very elementary program, might even work with DOS) I get the messages Warning: The specified

Need help!!! Newbie to Wine.
I have installed Red hat 7.1 on my Ultra Hinote laptop. I was quite proud to get my sound working and ethernet/modem card working and X window. I was surfing on the web and notice a development product called WINE touting the capability to 16/32 API apps in the wine environment with it sitting on the Linux kernel. I got the latest rpm from the WINE website in rpm format and ran the command rpm -i
