Japanese text in menu is not displayed
When launching a Japanese program with LANG=ja_JP wine program.exe, the Japanese text in parts of the application isn't displayed. Can't input Japanese with SCIM into Apps running over wine
Hello, everybody. As mentioned in subjetc line, I have'nt succeeded to input Japanese using SCIM into apps running over wine, more especifically MS Word. I tried it with Notepad, and it equally failed. I tried to use NJStar as 'alternative IME' to those Windows apps, but it failed as well... Out of wine layer, SCIM is running as usual. My environment is: Ubuntu 10.4, running latest

Thanks to all that have helped so far. I now have a test server running on Ubuntu 6.06 and Samba 3.0.22. I also configured ACL and user_xattr on the filesystem running the shares. But now I have very strange behavior that I hope someone has a clue about. User smith can open two files (foo.txt and faa.txt) with Notepad, Wordpad and Microsoft Word. The behavior for all three is different:

Japanese Codepage 932 Help.

English & Japanese Languages
I just upgraded our two servers to samba-3.0.4-1 (From 2.2.x) on Red Hat 9.0. We have 80 U.S. PC's and 5 Japanese PC's on the main server, and 8 Japanese PC's on the 2nd server.
