[Newbie] How to get IE5.0 run
I try to get IE 5.0 run under wine. All I understood is that I have to
use a native installed IE, which I copied FROM Win98SE under VMWare to my
$HOME/c/Program\ Files/ Directory. It didn't work, so I copied the
native windows/system directory, too.
This didn't work, even when I'm starting with this switches: wine -dll
shell,shell32,commctrl,comctl32=n IEXPLORE.EXE
I get this error

I am trying to install a VB accounting app, that uses Oracle DB. The app is running till it reaches DB connection. I installed unixodbc and oracle drivers atfndapl.fnal.gov/~dbox/oracle/odbc and builtin odbc32.dll.
At this point I get an errror,

IE6 from ies4linux and Wine-tools will no longer open. It was working
for a few days, but then there was a wine update and it stopped
opening.
There's a thread for it in the Ubuntu Forums, many others have

winemulating ICQ 2001b
Anybody has runned ICQ 2001b successfully with Wine?
When I try to run it, it crashes on the startup.
Maybe the fault is in NTDLL.dll.3 which has not
implented fully yet? Or I don't have all dll's?
I'm not sure for I'm a newbie with Wine... :(
Well anyway here's the output of Wine:

wine on Mandrake 7.2
Hi,
I managed to run United Devices client on Redhat 6.1
with wine-20010326 (after applying a patch that was posted
here), but on Mandrake I get errors (below).
It brings up the application, but sometimes gets stuck and
doesn't open a System Tray window, as it does on the RedHat.
(So once you "minimize" the app it's gone for good).
Any help appreciated

Internet Explorer installs under wine as default Win2K but then crashes when run...
I want to run Internet Explorer as Win2K at the very least so I might be able
to get updates, trying to keep up with security fixes... this might be a pipe
dream?
I would rather not run anything as Win98 if I can help it...
In any case, what I did was, from a clean install of Wine 0.9 on Fedora Core
4, ran
[user@localhost ~]$ wine
wine: creating configuration directory
