Wizardry Gold missing wing32.dll
Hello all. Just starting out with Wine and I am having a problem with Wizardry Gold. I got it loaded through Wine and went to start it, but it keeps telling me that the WING32.DLL can't be found. I checked in the system32 folder and it is there. I'm kinda at a loss here. Thanks for your help.

Problems with SIP invite due to long ping round trips
Hi,
I'm installing asterisk 1.0.5 for a partner in China.
Since the ping round trip takes typically 600 msec, I doubt,
whether voice quality will we satisfying, but that is currently
not my concern.
The problem is, that most SIP phones or software (e.g. SJPhone)
do resend the invite request, after approx 500 msec (measured
by ethereal).
chan_sip from asterisk seems to have a special

Wine problems after OS upgrade - possible causes?
Hello!
I'm at my wits end with regard to the following problem: after I upgraded my Linux distribution, no windows program running with wine (either 1.2 or 1.3) that changes the graphic mode would run anymore. It is quite possible that I inadvertently changed something in my configuration at some point, though I believe that I by now have tried everything. I'd rather not post specific

Blank Screen
Hello - newbie here. Please be kind if I'm breaking protocol. I didn't see my question in the FAQ, or a topic related to mine in the Forum.
Anyways.
Running Warcaft 3 or Wizardry 8 will load - but the screen goes black. I can Alt+Tab out, and do anything else; but there is no response from the game. These games worked fine a while back when I first ran them - but after following the

Additions to UPGRADING?
In upgrading from ssh-1.1.25 to openssh-2.1.1p1, I've come
across a pair of incompatibilities not mentioned in the UPGRADING
list. The first involves the authorized_keys file:
n. No un-quoted spaces are permitted in the options field of the
authorized_keys file.
While this was documented as a restriction in F-Secure SSH, in
practice this was not enforced. OpenSSH does enforce this

Bigscreen multihead issues [URGENT]
At the moment, Compiz draws each head at a time, shifting the
glViewport() for every head in a xinerama-like setup. However, the
projection matrix is NOT adjusted. This means any translation along
the z-axis will cause problems and any rotation along the x/y axis,
because the projection matrix is centered around the viewport, not the
actual X screen as it has to be to keep the scenery together.

How do I run a .com file through wine?
I've only just installed wine with the specific purpose of playing some of the old Wizardry games. However, these games come as .com files and not as .exe files. Will I be able to play them through wine?

creating a user from an RPM package
What wizardry do you guys use in the SPEC file when creating/deleting a
user from an RPM package?
I was going to create a macro like:

echo "$1:x:$2:$3:$4:$5:$6" >>/etc/passwd; \
echo "$1:!!:12005:0:99999:7:::" >>/etc/shadow; \

Cisco 7960 x Asterisk CVS-HEAD-03/13/05 - registration issues
After fighting with a "Unable to create/find channel" [1] [2], I gave up
on my previous installation and rebuild my asterisk from CVS-Head. I
guess the Debian package available today is broken somewhere (after a
previous broken release made with an old libpri package), but now I'm
having another issue with my 7960 registration (SIP v. 7.1).
The call is being (silent) rejected by

rsync error at the end of a transfer
Hi:
I have an rsync server providing four separate areas for rsync clients
to connect to. I only have one client and it is running a backup
script. The nightly backup runs fine through the first three shares
until it gets to one called [webbackup]. This directory contains only 6
files and the first file it tries to get is about 400 meg in size. It
begins to get this file and then the

Hi everyone,
There is a way to make files being automatically deleted some time after
they have been created?
I know that, with some scripting wizardry i could achieve this, but i
wanna know if samba has this kind of feature.
I have a temp folder that users insist in use like a backup folder, so i
want to files to be deleted 24 hours after they have been created.
I cannot just delete

using contents of one column to direct addition of new rows in dataframe
Hello, R gurus. I've been trying to get R to do some data manipulation
for me, and so far have been stumped in figuring out any elegant way
to do so. Searches through the R-help archive haven't helped, so now
I'm trying plan B.
Suppose I have a dataframe that summarizes events that took place
between some interval of time in days, "Time." I want to expand the
dataframe to
