similar to: ultima online and wine/winex

Hi all, I took the CVS from WineX (as mentioned on the transgaming.com Website). I downloaded fine and compiled fine. But: I have only a wine exec, but no winex. In the tools subfolder, there is a winex. But when I run it it just states, that some dir´s are missing (/usr/lib/transgaming and so on). The exec winex is only a script, no bin. Does somebody know how to build a real winex with DX8

I read on transgaming.com that you can download winex 2.1 with CVS tag winex-2-1, but what is the exact complete syntax to use to download the winex 2.1 source code?

I know this is an incredibly simple question, but I don't think I've seen anyone in this NG ask about it as best I can remember. Basically, what's the pros/cons of WineX over the standard version from Winehq? I have no problems with compiling from source, but in terms of application support and suchlike, could anyone with experience with both versions of WINE give any advice?

I am trying to get the latest CVS of WineX running on my box, Mandrake 8.1. I have run into a compile problem, and I am not having any luck finding anything about this. The configure and make depend go fine. Hello all, I have been trying to install Ultima Online: Mondain's Legacy. Unfortunatelly it hangs with Install Shield.
