wine exits to debugger immediately. Searching for dll files?
I compiled and installed wine using the ./tools/wineinstall script without any modifications. It built and installed without indicating problems. When I attempt to run any program wine drops into the debugger immediately. When I run with --debugmsg warn+all I get the following trace which I have copied in part. I gather that wine is searching for the following dll's: ntdll.dll,

wineconsole regression
I am using the Daily Debian Wine builds (used to be the 'Drunkard' builds) to run the freeware version of the IDA Pro disassembler (see http://www.datarescue.be/downloadfreeware.htm). Until about two or three weeks ago it would run OK using wineconsole. Since that time, the window pops up then immediately disappears. Wineconsole exits with "Wine failed with return code 1". I

Wine Debugging Log
While attempting some of the posted possible answers to my wine difficulties, the following debug log was produced. Does this help anyone? Wine should have a option in the debug window which would send the results of a faulty launch directly to the wine-developer list (ala KDE) so that problems can be more easily solved. tilleyrw@debian:~$ wine '/mnt/C/Program\ Files/Agent/agent.exe'

Wine dummy-spitting
I've got a real problem with the debian (unstable) wine 0.0.200202228-1 Whenever I try to run a windows executable - of any sort, although it's Jeskola Buzz in the example I've attached - wine cheerfully spits the dummy. I realise that the DRIVE_Init warnings are ignorable, but #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName 'config\system' not found in ... #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName

Multiple user application - won't work
Hi. I've installed the Windows-game, Caesar 3, through WINE. I installed it as the user pingvin and everything runs just fine. But then if I switch to any other user and configure WINE to fit them, and then try to run Caesar 3 - it doesn't work. I use Codeweavers WINE preview 3, the users config-files is in ~/.wine, my Wine directory is in /usr/local/wine and I have done the chmod -R

CoolEdit Pro 2000 Crashes Under Wine -- But Only For Me?
According to the application database at the Wine home page, other people have successfully run the audio app. CoolEdit. On my Debian unstable system Wine begins to open CoolEdit Pro 2000 ('wine /home/tilleyrw/Cool2000/cool2000.exe') and then fails midway through the initialization process with the following log: tillarium:/home/tilleyrw# cat /tmp/wine.log.i1J5ID

WIN 3.1 App crashes.. Unhandled Exception
The program is Atwin.exe (Accuterm) and going back to the 3.1 version as it's reliance on Windows specific .dll's is better than recent versions... When I run a trace, I get the following: Can anyone see at a glance if this is a bug, or just a
