IPX works via wired network, not via wireless
Hi All,
I have installed Atomic Bomberman as described here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Atomic_bomberman
When I connect 2 PC's running linux via networkcables and a switch, IPX works perfectly. I start the game on both PC's, set PC A to "Start Network game" via IPX, and PC B to "Join network game". Now PC B can see the game of PC A, connect to it, and then

Gamepads not working
Hi everyone,
when I try playing Atomic Bomberman with my gamepads, an ingame error message pops up saying:
"clue:'graf_print: coords off screen, x=320,y=170,w=322,h=20' internal error"
When there is no gamepad plugged in, I can play the game using my keyboard, it works perfectly. I don't know what's going on. I was able to play the game with multiple gamepads some

How to build WineX???
Hi all,
I took the CVS from WineX (as mentioned on the transgaming.com
Website). I downloaded fine and compiled fine. But: I have only a wine
exec, but no winex. In the tools subfolder, there is a winex. But when
I run it it just states, that some dirĀ“s are missing
(/usr/lib/transgaming and so on). The exec winex is only a script, no
bin. Does somebody know how to build a real winex with DX8

TransGaming and SourceForge
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the TransGaming DirectX development is now
being hosted at SourceForge. You can get updates from our live CVS tree, discuss
DirectX specific issues on the 'WineX-devel' mailing list, etc. The SourceForge
project page is at:

running an old build of wine?
I've noticed lots of people posting to this board running ancient versions
of wine.
Upgrading or replacing wine is easy..but I know some of you are slighty
afraid of messing what you got set up already.
There are current binaries, rpms, and source here
http://www.winehq.com/download.shtml
I recommend getting the CVS snapshot rpm (the one on top) or to just use
cvs to get the source

note: because of server problems, my home page and the winex page still talk
about winex 3.0, but when you get to the real download page you will find links
to source and binaries of winex 3.1
p.s. pls someone fwd this to wine newsgroup

Insufficient Disk Space error
Howdy, folks.
I searched through the Google groups, and was surprised not to find
anything that matches my problem. I've installed winex in Gentoo. The
apps start up wonderfully, but during the installation process, I get an
error about insufficient disk space. My .winex/config file contains the
following entry:
[Drive C]
"Path" = "/c"
"Type" = "hd"

Winehq / WineX?
I know this is an incredibly simple question, but I don't think I've seen
anyone in this NG ask about it as best I can remember.
Basically, what's the pros/cons of WineX over the standard version from
Winehq? I have no problems with compiling from source, but in terms of
application support and suchlike, could anyone with experience with both
versions of WINE give any advice?

WineX - CounterStike installation and SuSE8.0
Hello!
I play CounterStrike (CS) a lot on my linux box. But since i use SuSE8.0 the
installation of CS crashes right at the beginning,
the debugger cant tell me anything interesting.
All i wanna know is if anyone here got CS working with the latest WineX

Thanks!

Uninstalling Wine
I am going to try winex, but I have wine installed currently. First off, do
I need to unistall wine, or should I? And how do I go about it, if yes?
Thanks.

Two different windows configurations
Hi,
i have compiled winex from source, and i also have windows 98 with directx
8.0 running in my computer.
I would like wine not to use my real windows 98 configuration, but a new one,
with its own libraries, this is because i know i should not try to emulate
real Directx.
I think wine can create a fake windows directory which contains all the
libraries, but don't know how to create it.

Perl wrapper for libvorbisfile or stuff
Hey guys,
I wrote to this list previously, saying I needed a perl module to do
Ogg Vorbis tag reading / writing. People pretty much pointed me to the
Ogg::Vorbis module that wrapped around libvorbisfile and I should
extend that to writing streams, not only reading them. Well, awright,
I thought, let's do it. Problem is, though: The download links on
freshmeat are all broken and I don't
