RE: RE: VLAN and BRIDGE HELP
While I am still in the process of working through this here are the steps I am taking to set up each machine.
1) Since each of my servers have multiple NIC ports I bond them together (see page 34 of the Administrators Guide) first. This is best down from the physical server and not via the remote console. If you do it remotely you will then have to reconfigure the management port before

using ipoib with xcp
Hello,
I have been playing with the XCP for a while now, and must say I''m very
exited about the technology. I had no prior experience with Xen so it has
taken me a while to understand the concepts, but now I feel most important
issues are solved and I''ve purchased some hardware to build my (tiny) cloud
on.
The box is a Supermicro 1026TT-IBXF, so I have 2 x Ethernet and 1 x

network-uuid=network_created_by_xe_network_create
then I got an uuid which is "access-PIF" of output from "xe tunnel-list".

Samba Shares and Win32 Viruses
Hi Collective users of Samba, (does has a nice ring to it eh?)
Recently I found a my samba server being infected by win32 viruses.
Though it does not affect the server in any way, I do find them to be
an annoyance.
I understand also that I can perform "veto" of files like *.exe in smb.conf
but find that to be a wee bit restrictive. There are some users who
stores valid executables in

Bug#695221: confirmed bug, serious
control: severity +2 serious
I would call this an RC bug (serious), but not critical
It would be critical if the user lost data from some unrelated
application, etc
It is serious because
a) it makes the package and the whole system unusable for all but one
very specific network configuration (users with a /24)
b) using good old `xm' style Xen I never experienced any issue like

XCP don't see Network Interfaces on sunfire x2270
On a fresh installation of XCP 1.6 there is no interface in XCP Network

While in comman line ifconfig -a shows me both physical interfaces.
I would appreciate for an ideas on what.

XCP jumbo frames in vm
Hello all,
Not sure if I am completely missing something but here goes. I have
XCP 1.0 running without any issues. I have the mtu set on both the
storage network, the corresponding PIF, and the VIF to 9000 and when
displayed in ifconfig it shows that this is indeed true. I have
several CentOs 5.6 VMs running in HVM mode (i.e. no xen kernel) which
attach to the the storage network through these
