Problem Getting Latest Version
My system is Debian Sarge. I edited /etc/apt/sources.list to add a line: deb http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/binary as describe on the download page. When I next tried to run apt-get update it failed with the message "Malformed line 10 in source list" For the record, all I want to do is run a pretty basic Windows program, Mike Lawrence's Counting a Bridge, which I believe

Wine Setup
I am a complete newbie to Wine. I am aware of the wonderful things OTHER people can get it to do as far as running MS apps, but I have never had such sucess. The last attempt to run "winesetup" as root was met with the following: debian:/home/tilleyrw# whoami root debian:/home/tilleyrw# winesetup Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: Client is not authorized

codeweavers-wine:itcl problem
codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 hung during install (rpm) at the creation of KDE/Gnome menus; since I don't use either, I thought, no prob and ran winesetup from Blackbox. I skipped re-making the links on starting winesetup and went right for the configuration. which also failed. This is the message it generated: Error: Invoking 'wish Main.itcl' in /opt/wine/bin/winesetuptk

winesetup
Hello! I have just compiled and installed wine-2001-07-31 (from tar.gzipped source) and it works fine. But I cannot find the winesetup programm which makes setup much more comfortable. I am new to wine; I've used rpm-package on a different system where winesetup was automatically installed. Is winesetup not part of wine-2001-07-31? Or do I have it and just did not install it? Where can

Damn itcl to hell.
Hi, Sorry to bug people with this what must be a very trivial question. I've got a Mandrake 8.0 installation and have been trying in vain to get CodeWeavers Wine (preview #3) installed. I've downloaded and installed the 'blessed' version of itcl from the CodeWeaver's website (itcl-8.3.2-7mdk.i586.rpm) and am still getting the itcl not found error when I try to run winesetup.

Download and installation of the 7.2 version appears to go fine - until i give the command wine -v I do understand there is not a config file with the distribution. However when i start wine -v and take the option to setup config it fails twith a message can't find package Itcl and also says the config file does not exist.

Re: winesetuptk0.72/tcltk-winesetuptk-0.72
> It's the configuration part that I was looking for some help with, but > as noted I can install neither winesetuptk nor wineinstall You don't need winesetuptk or wineinstall anymore, because wine automatically sets up a .wine directory with the appropriate contents. Also, the wine config file isn't needed to successfully run wine anymore. If you don't have a .wine

ext3 support in redhat 6.2
I am trying to upgrade the partitions on my redhat 6.2 installation to ext3. I've upgraded the kernel to 2.2.20 (which includes support for ext3), and in order to create the journal, I believe I also have to update e2fsprogs to version 1.26. My problem has been this...e2fsprogs-1.26-1.71.i386.rpm requires glibc2.2, and I can not get glibc2.2 to install - I get dependency conflicts with the

Problems with UDP frame size??
Well this has had me stumped for days now. For months I've been using tinc in TCPOnly because I always received the unknown host error when using UDP. On Monday, i set the flag IndirectData = yes in my host files, and removed the TCPOnly line. Initially, everything worked great. My throughput increased from 600KB/sec to 2MB/sec between the sites. However, I also did some testing with
