Visual Page on linux using Wine
Hello
I am trying to use wine to run a windows 98/95 apply : Visual Page , an html

First I installed Winex 3.3.1 on my fc3 linux box.

Quicken fonts
I just installed Quicken 2001 using the 0914 version of Wine built from
source code on my Fedora Core 2 machine. I followed the Quicken install
instruction #2 on Franks Corner site. The installation went fine and
everything seems to work well. But some of the fonts are unreadable.
Here is a screen shot of what I am referring to (the problem fonts are
circled):

err:seh:setup_exception
Hi All
I have successfully installed wine-20050310 and could run
Norton Commander with Wine with no problem at all. However,
after installing VGASYS.FON, SSERIFE.FON, and SERIFE.FON
exactly as described in Wine User Guide, I tried to run it
again with Wine. But I received the following error message:{{{

Wine & DeZign for Databases 2.5
i'm trying to get a copy of DeZign for Databases 2.5 running on my RedHat
Linux laptop. it's partially there, but not yet usable. i'm guessing that
if i identify the right native dlls, i can resolve the problems.
unfortunately, i am not a windows specialist and don't really know what the
different dlls do very well.
the principal problem is that the pop up menus don't work

crystal reports under wine
Has anyone had any success with Crystal Reports under Wine?
The problem I am currently having is with the print engine itself and is
probably nothing to do with printing;
Page fault on trying to access 0x00000000 in
CRPE32.DLL.Prompt3DViewAngle (which I presume is bought in by Crystal
from 3dgraphics)
The dll is either version 8.0.0.371 or 8.0.0.392

DLL at fixed location and memory sharing between executables
Is there a way to get the following to work under WINE? (i.e. to get two
executables to share global memory as they do under windows)
We have a DLL that is at a specified memory location.
At the top of the code a variable is declared as follows:
#pragma data_seg( "global_mem" )
#pragma bss_seg( "global_mem" )
unsigned uAttachmentCount = 0;
Now..

I wants to start a win Prog called "Mathe Coach" with wine.
And yes I know that there are ohter and better Progs for linux, but it has to be that one....not my decision :-)
The occuring problem is that wine hangs in a loop and i can't make neither head nor tail of the debug messages (the file is over 10 MB large, and i abborted wine after a few seconds to avoid larger files)

Any chance of some help please?
I have just started trying to get WineLib working on my machine, after
playing with wine for several months.
I am starting slowly. The BASIC hello, world. (no graphics, no Microsoft

I run winemaker and configure (with -L/usr/local/lib)
make generates

processes don't die
I can't even think how to search winehq for this one.
I have been running Wine successfully one one machine for ages. without
problems.
I am setting up a fresh machine. On that machine when I run the same
application it leaves a whole load of copies of wine processes running when
the application shuts down.
I can't see any obvious differences in the config.
Does anyone have any

whats the status on winhlp32?
I am just starting to look into the help side of our application and wanted
to check on the status, especially with regard to the following:
1. We have to use the Microsoft winhlp32.exe; there isn't a Wine version?
2. It requires the native comdlg32.dll and/or comclt32.dll to get the Index
button to do anything
3. Even then, that will only bring up the index itself, not the contents

Converting Win fon-fonts to linux pcf fonts
Hi,
I tried to convert win fon fonts to linux pcf fonts using fnt2bdf as it is
described in the wine documentation.
On some fonts fnt2bdf said rthat there is no charset set information in the
fon file so that the -c option has to be used.
But what charset option should be used for such fonts? fnt2bdf's help does
print out a example where -c winsys is used, but never prints out all

VT-d and the GPU
Like others on this list I am trying to employ the VTD-NEO patches in
Xen 3.2 unstable to assign the internal graphics device to Dom1/Vista.
I have removed the Cirrus Logic emulated device from qemu and replaced
the Cirrus Logic vgabios with the the actual vgabios from my GPU.
However I am hitting an xen assert and was hoping someone might be able
to point me in the right direction. Below
