strip
Hi
Anyone know the correct argument I should give to strip on OS X to
remove only unneeded stuff from the bundle. Nick told me once, but I
can''t find the message in the ml archives. Unfortunately the man page
for strip assumes a lot of knowledge...
Also - have uploaded the class reference docs to
http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/doc/
Plan to carry on improving these once we''ve

Combining install-distribution with binary stripping
Hi all,
I want to use the LLVM_DISTRIBUTION_COMPONENTS support to create an installed
toolchain image (via the install-distribution target). I'd also like the
installed binaries to be stripped.
If you're invoking a cmake install script directly, you can pass
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_DO_STRIP=1 to cmake to request stripping. The install-*
targets set up by LLVM's build system don't seem to

Realm Stripping
I saw some discussion on this from the middle of last year. Looking
through the archives, there didn't seem to be a full solution using a
standard dovecot configuration. Did this issue get resolved within
dovecot? Will it strip domains from the login presented by the
customer.
I currently am using dovecot for imap with a webmail system (I strip the
domain there before it hits dovecot), but

IP based virtual users: stripping login domain?
Hello.
I have a likely unusual request regarding IP based virtual
dovecot users.
When you specify a passdb passwd-file name containing "%d", then the
domain portion is stripped from the login username, before the user is
checked in the passwd-file. However, if you specify a passwd-file name
containing "%l" (the local IP), the domain portion of the login is not
stripped off

custom strip in lattice ignoring plotmath expressions for all but style = 1 (PR#8733)

My appologies if this has already been fixed, but I didn't see it in the

Guide to stripping Centos 3
I responded to a post in the Dell poweredge mailing list
earlier today. My answer was off the top of my head, with a
bit of experimentation. The content may be useful in the
Cenyos context as well to admin's looking to strip the size of
an install to the bare bones.
Comment welcomed. Can anyone see any packages which I have
missed?

Stripping silent periods from MP3s
I'm on Centos 5.5, and would like to use sox to strip out
any periods of silence > 5 seconds from a batch mp3 audio
files.
Googling I found sox, but it does not seem to support mp3
files by default.
The man page says:
.mp3 MP3 Compressed Audio
MP3 audio files come from the MPEG standards for audio and video
compression. They are a lossy compression format that achieves

common base functions stripping S3 class
Hi all --- this is less a specific question and more general regarding
S3 classes.
I've noticed that quite a few very common default implementations of
generic functions (e.g. `unique`, `[`, `as.data.frame`) strip away
class information.
In some cases, it appears conditionals have been created to re-assign
the class, but only for a few special types.
For example, in `unique.default`, if the

Proper handling of incoming IAX/SIP callerids to be able to call back - why is calleridnum stripping dots out of number ?
Hi,
I'd like to organize my Asterisk to properly handle incoming SIP/IAX/H323
callerids so they can be called back if needed.
I have three incoming contexts for sip, iax and h323 calls.
To each incoming call I'd like to prepend certain number that will be
catched with pattern matching on output calls. For instance for iax I have:
[from-iax]
exten => s,1,NoOp(IAX call from outside

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Stripping unusable intrinsics
I’ve got some new patches and some numbers.
The patches are all the changes required to strip intrinsics using the preprocessor defines I showed in my earlier patches. It actually isn’t that much change to LLVM. Clang will need similar changes too. There were only 9 files that referenced target intrinsics outside the corresponding target.
These patches are still WIP, and there is some nastiness,

1.8.4 Core Dump after installing from source
Hello,
After installing Asterisk from source in Slackware 13.1, I get the
following error:
Error loading module 'res_config_odbc.so':
/usr/lib/asterisk/modules/res_config_odbc.so: undefined symbol:
ast_odbc_clear_cache
Then a core dump.
If I change the /etc/asterisk/modules.conf in order to preload the
'res_odbc.so' module, then the error dissapears, *but* still crashes

Troubles with Windows Me Registry in latest CVS
I'm having a problem that I'm not sure the cause of. I've never had a
problem with wineinstall until recently. I have full read/write access to
my Windows partition and wineinstall can see it. However it fails to find
the Windows registry for some reason.
I'm running Windows Me, on that partition. For Linux I'm running Redhat
7, and latest CVS.
Here's the messages I get.

Force to strip all symbols from ELFs when using rpmbuild on CentOS
Hello.
What's the proper way to remove *all symbols* from ELF binaries when
building packages with rpmbuild on CentOS? Seems that an out of the box
rpmbuild install only discards debugging symbols (strip -g).
That's the default configuration for %__os_install_post on CentOS, the
step in charge on stripping binaries:
$ rpmbuild --showrc

stripping attachments
there is a windows tool that strips attachments from emails on the
server. i think it works for exchange. is there a tool or a way
to do this for imap? i don't mean a mail filter that would strip
them before the user sees them, i mean that the user could actively
cooperate to reduce mail storage space, yet keep the original email
on the server sans attachment.

[HELP] Regarding stripping of fmtp parameters for Video.
Hello All,
I'am doing a video call between two Video Phones, and i see
that Asterisk is stripping the fmtp parameters for the h263 video line in
SDP.
For example a line similar to the below is stripped,
a=fmtp:xx CIF=4;QCIF=2;F=1;K=1
Asterisk is configured NOT to be present in the Media path (My version :
Asterisk 1.4.19.1 ).
