Xboard rpm for CentOS 4
Has anyone built an rpm for xboard for CentOS 4? I looked in the EPEL repo, KBS repo
and rpmforge but none exist. The KBS repo has gnuchess in testing but what good is
gnuchess without xboard? As usual the fedora SRPM for Fedora 6 and Fedora 9 cannot
build on CentOS 4- they might build on CentOS 6 but i have no time machine :).

winspool error
I am using Mandrake 9.0 and wine-20021125.
The program in question installed with no apparent problems. A lot of the program works correctly, however, I get to a point that gives an error.
I ran the program with --debugmsg +loaddll options. I also line numbered the output and I included all output.
On line 11 it loads winspool.drv but on line 41 it can not find winspool.drv.
Any ideas on how to

Problems with Wine
Hey all,
I've been experimenting with Wine on different Windows apps from Linux RH
7.0 and I'm finding a lot of problems. Usually apps produce the
following error messages and then lock up their interfaes. Is there a
common problem here?

OriginLab's Origin 7.0
I know it's a rather unknown app outside scientific world (it takes
input data from Excel, files or from the builtin worksheet and makes
graphs and plottings, as Excel does but better ;-), but maybe someone
can still help me.
It wasn't working out-of-the-box, but with
[AppDefaults\\Origin70.exe\\DllOverrides]
"msvcrt.dll" = "native"
at least I can now see it's

[LLVMdev] Running LLVM Analysis on real-world projects.
I have made few attempts to compile some software packages with llvm.
My approach is to define Make variables as follows :
export AS=llvm-as
export LD=llvm-ld
export AR=llvm-ar
export CXX=llvm-g++
and then run configure and make.
This approach works with very small code bases only.
For most of the projects, it bails out with errors. Some of them are
very clear, like llvm does not support

Font / charset encoding problem?
I have successfully installed and launched Sibelius (music typesetting
software) on linux (with codeweavers preview 4, w/ a fake_windows install).
It works fairly well, and would probably deserve a 4 on the app database.
Except for the fonts, which kind of defies the purpose of a typesetting
software! Here are the symptoms and some log activities :

Here's an update on what we've been up to and how the LLVM 1.0 release is

that we'll get the release out by the end of the month!
Here's the hilights of the last few weeks:
1. John checked in support for building LLVM into multiple different
object directories in the Autoconf style. He also

[LLVMdev] Running LLVM Analysis on real-world projects.
Thanks for your valuable input. By the way, I am exporting CC=llvm-gcc
and RANLIB=llvm-ranlib for projects that use it. It was a mistake not
to write it in the post as apache indeed uses gcc. If you see the
error message, you would see llvm-gcc being used. I would try to
investigate further on the lines you have mentioned. However, the
question that stands is how to best handle failure to compile
