Solve for x in Ax=B with vectors, not matrices
Hello R-helpers,
What I have: I am working with vectors not matrice:
#Basic equations
A <-c(-20,-9,-2)
x <-c(0.17,0.22,0.61)
B <- crossprod(A,x)
# R matrix multiplication works with vectors
A%*%x==B # Is true...
Question: If x is unknown and A and B are known, how do I solve for x in R?
solve(A,B) won't work because A is not a square matrix
solve(A,B)
Error in solve.default(A,

solving plugin dependency issues
The dependency checking currently provided is clearly not good enough.
There's currently two issues with the plugins that exist in the compiz
repository.
plane plugin conflicts with cube and rotate plugin, zoom plugin should
probably work with either cube or plane but currently only loads when
cube plugin is used.
Adding a
{ CompPluginRuleBefore, "cube" }
to the plane plugin and a

3D Graphics
Dear All,
I have made a scatter plot and placed a plane within it using scatterplot3d.
However, I have been asked for the data points to be a surface plot or have
the plane more closely resemble the data rather than show trends.
I have since tried to use the rgl package. Why doesn't this package use the
window which already contains graphics?
I have one axis with decreasing values and two

Wine and OpenGL 3.2
Hi fellas, I was searching for informations about Wine and OpenGL 3.2. I
didn't find anything.
What do you guys think about that. That will affect wined3d ? I mean, some
functions will be optimized because now OpenGL is comparing to Direct3D ?
Thank you.

[PATCH] drm/nv10/plane: add plane support for nv10-nv40
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>
---
This has received light testing on NV18 and NV34 cards, using the modetest
tool. Userspace support to use this for xv is not yet ready.
I decided against creating a new "pvideo" engine -- that just seems way too
heavy-handed compared to the ~10 lines of code in disp/nv04.c to deal with the
PVIDEO interrupts.
Even though

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Replace the iturbt_709 prop with the standarad COLOR_ENCODNIG prop
From: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com>
Replace the ad-hoc iturbt_709 property with the new standard
COLOR_ENCODING property. Compiles, but not tested.

[PATCH v3] drm: Add DRM_MODE_ROTATE_ and DRM_MODE_REFLECT_ to UAPI
Add DRM_MODE_ROTATE_ and DRM_MODE_REFLECT_ defines to the UAPI
as a convenience.
Ideally the DRM_ROTATE_ and DRM_REFLECT_ property ids are looked up
through the atomic API, but realizing that userspace is likely to take
shortcuts and assume that the enum values are what is sent over the
wire.
As a result these defines are provided purely as a convenience to
userspace applications.

[PATCH] drm/virtio: fix unblank
When going through a disable/enable cycle without changing the
framebuffer the optimization added by commit 3954ff10e06e ("drm/virtio:
skip set_scanout if framebuffer didn't change") causes the screen stay
blank. Add a bool to force an update to fix that.

[PATCH 00/23] drm: Eliminate plane->fb/crtc usage for atomic drivers
From: Ville Syrj?l? <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com>
I really just wanted to fix i915 to re-enable its planes afer load
detection (a two line patch). This is what I actually ended up with
after I ran into a framebuffer refcount leak with said two line patch.
I've tested this on a few i915 boxes and so far it's looking
good. Everything else is just compile tested.
