Roland, Thank you very much for your attention to this. You should get a medal for all the help you give everyone on this list. On Sun, 10 May 2015, Rowland Penny wrote: > Why ? Maybe I will demote DC2 and join it again. > Check if you actually have dns

sem: incorrect parameter estimates
Hello. I am getting results from sem that are not correct (that's assuming that the results from my AMOS 4.0 software are correct). sem does not vary some of the parameters substantially from their starting values, and the final estimates of those parameters as well as the model chisquare value are incorrect. I've attached some code that replicates the problem. The parameters in

Can't mount Samba share on Linux box, Windows clients
When I encountered weird messages when trying to mount Samba shares on a Linux box the solution was to make sure I had the location of smbmount and smbmnt in my path. On RedHat 6.2 the path is /usr/sbin. I have not seen your exact error before though. Hope that helps. Whitespace, whitespace everywhere, but none for WINE
Dear All, Yesterday I installed WINE on my Debian GNU/Linux machine. I obtained the program packages from Andreas Schuldei's site, and the winesetuptk package from Ove Kaven's. Although my machine is dual boot, I am also trying out the "WINE without Windows" option, ie by creating a /c directory in the Linux partition. Little apps (Notepad, Minesweeper, calc, puTTY, etc.)

ices-kh60: latency bug
hello, I've just got ices-kh60 running with jack. It's working OK apart from a problem where the latency on the stream creeps up from about 15-20 secs to around 7 minutes. The stream plays OK, but the audio coming out is 7 minutes behind what goes in. I'm not sure how this can be happening, seeing as I don't think there are any buffers that long in the system, but it is.

looping through a data frame
Hi- I am having trouble with the syntax of looping through the rows and columns of a data frame. I have a table with 17 observations for 84 lines at n=5-10 per line. So the table is ~700x17. I want to pull out the median and stdev for each line and put it in a dataframe with rowname = linename. So I have tried the following.... #read in the table input.table <- read.table(file =
