regapi and CodeWeavers 1.0p3
Hi all. I'm trying to get printing going with CodeWeavers Wine and have come to the part where running "regapi" is required. Unfortunately this is not included with the CodeWeavers release. Can anyone suggest a way forward? Many thanks, Pete. --------------------------------------------------------------- | Pete Philips \|/ | |

wine-20010305 MS Excel97 *.xls -> .xls.xls
Hi, If I open up a worksheet in MS Excel 97, the file name is modified by appending an extra .xls to the name. Multiple .xls's are possible, and it is not necessary to save the worksheet. I'm running Wine-20010305 compiled on a SuSE 7.0 running a stock 2.4.2 Linux kernel. MS Excel is being run from an existing Win98 system partition. Thought someone might want to know, Dick --

Regarding basic block layout/code placement optimizations of profile guided optimization (PGO)
Hi, I would like to learn the details regarding what exactly PGO does for basic block layout/code placement optimizations in llvm. Could you please point me to some descriptions? Is it close to this paper (Karl Pettis and Robert C. Hansen. 1990. Profile guided code positioning. PLDI'90) http://perso.ensta-paristech.fr/~bmonsuez/Cours/B6-4/Articles/papers15.pdf? ices2 routinely abandons one of its streams
Hi everybody, I'm in charge of an ices2 setup that's broadcasting a local radio station on the Net, and I'm currently under fire because one of our streams has been down twice in two days, forcing me to restart ices2 on each occasion. Our client is understandably unhappy about this. OUR SETUP: I've got ices2 installed on a local machine, broadcasting to an icecast server across

Bug#312376: /etc/logcheck/logcheck.ignore is no longer read
Package: logcheck Version: 1.2.39 Severity: normal Since I've upgraded my servers to sarge, I'm getting mail every hour for stuff that was duly included in /etc/logcheck/logcheck.ignore. Turns out that sarge's version no longer reads that file. If this was a conscious decision, then there should be some warning about this when upgrading (via debconf of NEWS.Debian). Also, the

Antw: problem with installing openssh on HP/UX
Hi, > acro-284> uname -a > HP-UX niit1 A.09.01 A 9000/730 2015353714 two-user license I don't know what "niit1" stand for. We use openssh on several HP 9000/800 series (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00) compiled with gcc-2.95.2 and did not run into problems with the latest portable openssh version and the pam-patch provides earlier in this list. Would it make sense for xray instrumentation be part of -fprofile-generate? PGO will affect inlining decisions etc for the optimized binary, but the collected traces during the instrumented build would still have quite a bit of useful information. -- Sean Silva On Mon, Jan 16, 2017 at 4:33 PM, Xinliang David Li <xinliangli at gmail.com> wrote: > Google GCC records profile data (dynamic

Crash of latticeExtra graph with Adobe Acro Pro/Reader/Windows/ during print only (display ok).
I created a report with Sweave today, that displayed perfectly on screen, but crashed both Adobe Pro 9.3.1 and Adobe Reader 9.0 on Windows 7. Output with Foxit Reader was flawless. I was able to reproduce a "minimal" example, which is not really minimal but the smallest I could get after 2 hours of wasting paper. Required: latticeExtra calling both panel.xyplot(...) # both

(I am not sure if this is a bug or a request for a more understandable warning, or possible something obvious I should be posting on r-help.) I am trying to coerce an new class object to be a DBIConnection and it does not work the way I think it should: R version 2.5.1 (2007-06-27) ... > require("RMySQL") # or require("RSQLite") Loading required package: RMySQL Loading

CentOS-7-x86_64-dvd-2009.iso is too big for DVD blanks
I need help from someone experienced with the CentOS bug tracking system. I gotta say it is one of the most complicated and imposing front ends I've ever seen. Sync passwords unix/smb with FDS backend?
Using simple authentication I have been able to tie FDS to Samba 3.x.24. Knowing that the unix passwd and smb passwd are different, dare I ask how difficult it would be to have them sync? Most of my users are using netatalk w/ posix user info and MD5 password. I would like to swing this over to samba without the worries of two passwords per user. I have seen blips on this but not directly related

"dumb" SATA controller recommendation
Just wondering if any 4.2 users out there have a favourite "dumb" PCI controller to add a couple of SATA ports to a motherboard that doesn't include SATA support. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just 2 SATA ports that a recent vintage kernel will recognize without a lot of configuration gymnastics. The intended use is for relatively light weight internet browser

minimum kernel version for btrfsprogs.0.20?
Creating a btrfs file system using btrfs-progs-0.20.rc1.20130308git704a08c-1.fc19, and either kernel 3.6.10-4.fc18 or 3.9.0-0.rc3.git0.3.fc19, makes a file system that cannot be mounted by kernel 3.6.10-4.fc18. It can be mounted by kernel 3.8.4. I haven''t tested any other 3.8, or any 3.7 kernels. Is this expected? dmesg reports: [ 300.014764] btrfs: disk space caching is enabled [

Samba4 upgrade compatability
I have an existing install of Samba4 ( I think beta6 vintage ), which uses ntvfs and bind9. It's only providing AD and Group Policy. I have a seperate file server running 3.6.x. I want to add a server to the domain running the most recent RC. I know they are using internal by default and s3fs for the file shares on sysvol. Can s3fs coexist with ntvfs? Can the internal DNS coexist with

xyplot and abline
Dear All, I wonderif there is a simple way to draw a regression line in the xyplot: more specifically, let: age <- c(20:30, 31:40 ) age.cut <- cut(age, breaks = 2 ) y<- rnorm(20) x <- rnorm(20,4,1) xyplot(y ~ x| age.cut, xlab="x", ylab="y") How to draw (in the plot given by xyplot) the two regression lines (y ~ x) corresponding to the two category

Rsyncing without RSH or SSH ?
People, This doesn't seem possible - would it be possible to hack a version of rsync to do it? As an exercise, I want to create a VM image (or at least backup of all the files with rsync) from a SCSI drive in an old Red Hat (NOT Enterprise) v5.2 Linux 486 machine (circa 1999 that does have rsync on it but it has protocol problems talking my server). The 486 has: - an ISA Adaptec 1542
