Weird graphical glitches while running notes.
My system is a debian/unstable box. I'm running daily cvs snapshots of wine and Lotus Notes R5.07. The problem is that it seems like wine isn't getting the redraw messages from the application or wine isn't sending the redraw messages to the application. So I get large areas of the program blank/black/see through to old gfx. It especially occurs with frames/framsets in notes. For

Windows mediaplayer under wine.
Has anybody managed to get windows mediaplayer running under wine? I've tried several times with mediaplayer 6.4, but it seems like it won't install. It extracts the files correctly but then just hangs there doing nothing. -- Lasse Melsaeter <lasse.melsaeter@nooffice.com> Systemsdeveloper NoOffice Internatioonal AS <http://www.nooffice.com/> - BOFH excuse #265: The mouse

No problem accessing anything in c:\windows eg freecell.exe by the simple command # wine freecell.exe the mount directory is named /dos (and is in /etc/wine/wine.conf under Drive c) so I assume that the command # wine /dos/agent/agent.exe should bring up the

MS Advanced TS client problems
Hi, I tried to run advanced terminal server client (or actually it's active/x component) under wine, but it does not seem to work. :( I also built my own client with delphi (added the active/x component in it and set the server and user name properties and called connect-method) and both of these suffer same problems: Client starts OK Clients connects OK and login screens etc are transmitted

Nightly cvsbuilds for debian.
As far as i can tell the nightly cvs builds for debian aren't working. Last time I received a new package from there was February 23rd. How do I use Internet Explorer 6.0 in Wine 1.1.3
Hi I just installed Wine 1.1.3 a couple of days ago, on my Acer Aspire 3623 Laptop (256MB and 40G HD) running PuppyLinux 4.0 OS. I installed Wine because I am taking an online math course at college and it needs a Windows OS and Internet Explorer 6.0 to run. [Image: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3224/2831514726_408632591a_o.png ] Then I installed Internet Exlorer using the "Add

To bring back memories, i only wanted to know wheather i can change a variable that holds the sound intensity (loudness) needet to start "encoding >> sending" if the speex codec is in voice

Voice Activation Level (speex 1.1.11.1)
What you want is simply a loudness threshold-based detector. It's not very complicated to do, but there's nothing in Speex that currently does that (not that I think it's really useful in practice). Voice Activation Level (speex 1.1.11.1)
I havent had found anything in the documentation about voice activation levels. Does i can change a variable to change the accuracy for activations? If not does the speex lib already implement a function for read out the sound level of a frame? Thanks for the advance. Lis, I suggest you try tweaking Speex's VAD probabilities as Steve suggested. But consider a simple threshold-based approach as a backup option. Personally, I struggled with Speex's VAD algorithms (both encoder and preprocessor) for a long time, tweaked the probabilities, wrote special case code to work around the mistakes, and was still never satisfied with the results.
