sshd 7.8p1 close connection from VMware Fusion NAT Port Forwarding
After upgrading my VMware Fusion (10.1.3) Arch Guest to the latest with OpenSSH upgraded from 7.7p1 to 7.8p1, found that ssh from macOS Sierra (10.12.6) host to Arch guest via local NAT port forwarding failed, but via Arch LAN IP worked, downgraded OpenSSH from 7.8p1 to 7.7p1 fixed the problem. Any idea about this bug? VMware Fusion NAT Port Forwarding setup: VMware Fusion ? NAT Port Forwarding

[LLVMdev] loop fusion in LLVM
Thanks a lot for your input. [LLVMdev] loop fusion in LLVM
Hi Qi, No, we don’t have loop fusion. The loop fusion transformation itself is easy, but the profitability and legality checks are challenging. For legality, you would need to analyze the memory that you access and figure out that it is legal to fuse the loops. For profitability you would need to predict the effect on performance. You would need to predict register pressure and resource

Leaving Fusion-io
Hi everyone, Fusion-io has been a great place to work, but I''ve decided it is time to move on. I''m leaving for Facebook, where I''ll continue to focus on Linux kernel development. Facebook is also very interested in helping to improve Btrfs. I''d like to thank Fusion-io for supporting me and especially for their strong support of Btrfs development. From a

No shutdown option in KDE with Compiz-Fusion
I have installed Compiz-Fusion on several Ubuntu machines, all different hardware, with KDE. In all of them, the option to shutdown or reset the computer is absent from the KDE logout buttons when running Compiz-Fusion. I have searched google and see that others have this problem, but I do not see a solution. Is there a known solution to this condition? Thanks in advance. Dotan Cohen

Job Openings at Collaborative Fusion
Collaborative Fusion has a number of positions we're hoping to fill in the near future. Specifically, there is an opening in the systems group. My understanding is that we're looking for an entry-level sysadmin who would help manage our growing network of FreeBSD servers. Locality to Pittsburgh, PA is a plus, but I've a feeling we could make allowances for the right person (can't

CentOS 6.4 with VMWare Fusion on MBA 2013
Hello, is anybody successfully using CentOS 6.4 with VMWare Fusion 5 on a Macbook? I have tried moving a CentOS 6.4 VM from VMWare Workstation on Win 7 (where it works well) to VMWare Fusion on a Macbook Air (2013) and when it boots it says: Detected CPU family 6 model 69 unsupported hardware device After that a progress bar is displayed at the bottom and "CentOS 6.4" on the

[LLVMdev] loop fusion in LLVM
Hi, I am a student and my team is trying to identify a suitable topic for our compiler class final project. The requirement is to implement some optimization in LLVM that is not already existed, at least not in the list of standard opt that LLVM already has. We are looking at loop fusion as a potential candidate topic. Since we are all new to LLVM we would like to ask for experts' opinions

Implement Loop Fusion Pass
Hi all, I have created a patch (up for review at: http://reviews.llvm.org/D17386) that does Loop Fusion implementation. Approach: Legality: Currently it can fuse two adjacent loops whose iteration spaces are same and are at same depth. Dependence legality: Currently, dependence legality cannot be checked across loops. Hence the loops are cloned along a versioned path, unconditionally fused

compiz-fusion-kde-0.6.2-3.1 Window Decoration Crash?
Guys, SuSE 10.3, compiz-fusion-kde-0.6.2-3.1, fglrxG01-8.43.3-0.1, xorg 7.2. I just experienced a complete window decoration crash where all window decorations disappeared. kwin --replace followed by a emerald --replace cured the problem. This is the first crash since installing 6.2-3.1 about 12 hours ago. Is there anything helpful I can post that might identify the cause of the problem? --

[LLVMdev] Macro-op fusion experiment
Hi Jacob, As far as I know, an x86 'mov' instruction always uses an ALU resource. According to Agner Fog's documents (http://www.agner.org/optimize/), it can execute on port 0, 1 or 5 on recent architectures though. So it's not that likely to be resource limited. But it still occupies an instruction slot throughout the entire pipeline, costing power and potentially limiting other
