Installling more than one wine version
It seems that Corel Office 2000 for linux will not run on any version of
wine later that the 1022999 ver.. Seems Any newer version causes an
"ERROR no 6 and stuff about not being able to find "wordperfect" or
quattropro executuables, and also saying it is a wine error.
My question, is there a way to install multiple versions of wine by
changing makefile presets or destination

Initial window position with WINE
Some one else (not me -- I have RedHat 7 and can't seem to get a
compiler to work) built the current Corel WPO CVS WINE and it seems to
work OK except that when I close an application with a full screen it
remembers that.
But, when I reopen it it is a little to my left and too high to see the
decorations on the window frame.
Can this be changed with a configuration file somewhere or

Stupid question: where is the Preferences box?
Good day!
I am GUI-challenged, and proud of it, but I would like a bit of help.
When I start netscape (picked from an Earthlink CD) it raises a message
box that says (this is picked from --debugmsg +text and folded for
mailing convenience):
trace:text:DrawTextExW L"Error: temporary directory E: does not exist.
Please enter a new directory in the preferences box.", 99 ,

Updating WordPerfect Office
The version of Wine that ships with WPOffice 9 is
getting pretty creaky. As far as I can tell, Corel
doesn't have any updates on their site, but as far as
I know there's no reason that someone couldn't update
their version.
Anyone have any luck with this? I'm still trying to
reproduce their build parameters.

Hey everyone,
I''ve searched through all of the previous posts and tried everything
mentioned but I am still getting these messages. Is there anything

Xen VM is also running CentOS 5.
I''ve tried doing:
# echo ''hwcap 0 nosegneg'' > /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libc6-xen.conf && ldconfig

Hi,
I'm trying to install the Xerox docuprint 4517 driver in my centos box but I

- I download the file Linuxi386XPXX_4.00.60.tar from the Xerox site which is
the printer driver.
- did untar the file in the install directory.
- ran the setup file
- reboot the server
After doing this I still cannot see the driver..

[LLVMdev] whole program optimization examples?
Hello,
I was wondering if there is an example list somewhere of whole program
optimizations done by LLVM based compilers?
I'm only familiar with method-level optimizations, and I'm being told wpo
can deliver many great speedups.
My language is currently staticly typed JIT based and uses the JVM, and I
want to move it over to LLVM so that I can have options where it can be
ahead of time

[LLD] Incorrect comparision of pointers to function defined in DSO
Hi,
It looks like I have found a bug in LLD. Suppose DSO defines a global
variable 'data' and initializes it by the address of function
'set_data' defined in the same DSO. If an executable file (linked by
LLD) gets address of the '&set_data' function and compares it with a
value stored in the 'data' variable it gets different result. If the
executable is linked

Yes, I had just reduced it too.
I am pretty sure this was implemented at some point. Taking a look.

Printing in Corel Draw through CUPS
10/10/2007
After consulting with some local Linux consultants, we have concluded
that Corel Draw does not print under WINE because it detects the printer
as Postscript, converts the file to Postscript, and sends the file to
CUPS, which then converts the file to Postscript, again, and sends it to
the printer which prints garbage.
The consultant found a way to make a couple changes to WINE

Almost no updates in a while, and none relevant. I'm guessing the
program's compiled from fortran to c.... Anyway, the issue's on two

other still fails (but it doesn't have some of the i686 libs. When it

Corel Draw 4 can't find fonts
I now have almost all my Windows programs running fine under codeweavers
wine 20010112-1 except Corel Draw 4 (16-bit), which seems to work fine
except it cannot find any fonts except the symbol typeface it ships with.
I have tried starting it from .../windows/fonts and from its home
directory but nothing changes its behavior.
Must I install TT fonts on my Linux system for Corel Draw to find them

[LLVMdev] whole program optimization examples?
Thanks, Philip for the "lay of the ground" picture. I think the situation
I'm in, which represents my employment (and now personal technical
curiosity) is that we're seeing LLVM implementations show up like every
other week or month, etc. and people are asking us, "well this mathematical
software of yours is great, but my engineer here tells me it's not using
this LLVM
