PDU support for DigiPower and Aviosys devices
Hi, I'm thinking about adding support for PDU (Power Distribution Unit) devices from Digipower [1] and Aviosys [2] to NUT via the SNMP interface. The specific devices I have in mind are the following: Digipower AMz-1623/SW-08-1 Aviosys IP Power 925x (both are 8-port PDUs which are SNMP capable via an ethernet interface) Does anybody have other DigiPower or Aviosys devices and if so

yum-fastestmirror inconsistent exclude behavior
Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out something wherein excluded repositories for the yum-fastestmirror plugin are still being used by the system. To illustrate: [root at sales ~]# cat /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/fastestmirror.conf [main] enabled=1 verbose=0 socket_timeout=3 hostfilepath=/var/cache/yum/timedhosts.txt maxhostfileage=10 maxthreads=15 #exclude=.gov, facebook exclude=maulvi, .gov.ph, .vn

yum "Requires" yum-plugin-fastestmirror; why?
In another recent thread,[1] someone was having trouble with the yum-plugin-fastestmirror feature, so I suggested he remove it, since it?s just a plugin and should therefore be optional. He reported that it couldn?t be removed due to package dependencies. I investigated further and found that this also affects CentOS 5.11 and CentOS 7.2. (The OP is on CentOS 6.8.) So, I reported it as a bug

Maildir + NFS + multiple machines = spectacular failure
I'm running beta7 on two machines, with maildir on NFS. I have lockd running on all machines. I've found that Dovecot is highly unstable with NFS when accessing a mailbox on more than one machine at the same time. Both dovecot machines have: mmap_disable = yes lock_method = fcntl NFS is version 3, exported from a third linux machine. All machines are running 2.6.9 kernel. Any ideas

Attempting a trust between Samba and Windows AD DC
Hi all, We are about to integrate a large number of users into our organisation and I've been tasked with attempting to allow said users access to our internal systems which are controlled from 10 x Samba 4.6.3 DC's across several sites. All Samba DC's are running either Ubuntu 14.04 or 16.04. Replication works nicely between these DC's and this system has been relatively stable

Attempting a trust between Samba and Windows AD DC
Hi all, I didn't have much luck getting SSSD to work so I'm currently testing out the following: Built a new member server from source on Ubuntu 16.04. I used the following ./configure statement: ./configure --enable-fhs --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --libdir=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu This seems to install nicely onto Ubuntu and puts everything in the right

Attempting a trust between Samba and Windows AD DC
Hi Rowland, Thanks for the swift response. I'm not married to SSSD and am happy to use the best tool for the job, but was just looking for some general advice on my situation. I'll post on the sssd-users mailing as well. Thanks, Chris. On 7 November 2017 at 15:38, Rowland Penny <rpenny at samba.org> wrote: > On Tue, 7 Nov 2017 15:06:55 +0000 > Chris Alavoine via samba

Spectacularly disappointing disk throughput
Greetings! I''ve got a FreeBSD-based (FreeNAS) appliance running as an HVM DomU. Dom0 is Debian Squeeze on an AMD990 chipset system with IOMMU enabled. The DomU sees six physical drives: one of them is a USB stick that I''ve passed through in its entirety as a block device. The other five are SATA drives attached to a controller that I''ve handed to the DomU with PCI

akima::interp "scales of x and y are too dissimilar"
Dear R users, I want to do a fitted.contour plot of selected columns of a dataframe M with M$AM and M$Irradiance as x and y axes respectively. The level of the contour shall be determined by M$PR. Some words on my data first. Dataframe M looks like: head(M$Irradiance) [1] 293 350 412 419 477 509 head(M$AM) [1] 2.407 2.161 1.964 1.805 1.673 1.563 head(M$PR) [1] 70.102 72.600 75.097 80.167
