samba-2.2.7a RPMs available for Mandrake 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.0
Just a quick note that I have finalised RPMs of 2.2.7a for Mandrake 8.0,
8.1, 8.2 and 9.0. They are currently available from
http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/samba .
Updates are in the works for 9.0, and RPMs for all releases should go to
the samba mirrors soon, but if you're having problems with large file
support, or are still running 2.2.6 for large file support, I thought you

We have been working very hard with the Linux-HA guys on this one. It
should be working fairly well.

PostgreSQL 8.2?
I've been using RPMs for PG 8.1 from CentosPlus for some time now. I've been
very happy with them, and they've been wonderfully stable.
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/x86_64/RPMS/
But now 8.2 is out. Are there any plans to support PG 8.2 in CentosPlus, or
should I go ahead with RPMS directly from PG?

madwifi on Centos 5.2, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5
Hello,
I just installed Centos 5.2 on my wife's IBM thinkpad T41 with Atheros
wireless.
It looks like I need to install madwifi to get the wireless to work. Our
home wireless network uses WPA2
I found the EL5 rpms at atrpms, but there is no madwifi-kmdl rpms for
kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5.
So, to get the wireless working on my home network, what's the shortest
path from here? Install

5.1 - kernel-2.6.18-53.el5.centos.plus.i686.rpm: [Errno -1] Package does not match intended download
Thank you for the great CentOS.
When trying to update from 5.0 to 5.1, I get an error regarding the
centos.plus kernel and headers, "[Errno -1] Package does not match
intended download".
What'd I do?
The end of the yum update results below:

perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks,
I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge
website there is no list or contact information.
I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have
installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum
update leads to:

Debuginfo RPMs for gcc-4.1.2-44.el5
Hi,
I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with an application, and I need
the debuginfo RPMs for gcc. (The symbols for libstdc++ are in there.)
I recently upgraded one machine to CentOS 5.3, and this installed
gcc-4.1.2-44.el5. However, there isn't any corresponding debuginfo
RPM on the mirror:

mbox to maildir migration question and problems, dovecot-1.0.7-7.el5
Hi,
I am trying to assist a customer with a mbox to maildir migration. I have
them using the latest and greatest mb2md.pl; the one that support -K,
-U|-u. They have seen overwhelming success with this; however, a recent
mbox introduced a new scenario and the result was that all messages were
replayed in the client UI.
The mbox in question had _no_ X-UID tags. To work-a-round the issue the

C5 i386 kernel-debuginfo-common-2.6.18-8.1.3.el5.i686.rpm from vault
Is anyone else having trouble getting some RPMs from vault? When I navigate to
http://vault.centos.org/debuginfo/5/i386/
...and try to click on (e.g.) kernel-PAE-debuginfo-2.6.18-8.1.3.el5.i686.rpm I
get 404 errors (The requested URL /debuginfo/5/i386/kernel-PAE-debuginfo-2.6.18
-8.1.3.el5.i686.rpm was not found on this server). But then if I wait a while
and try again, maybe I get it.

page allocation failure
Hi,
today I burned some cds on my win XP machine. The data resides on my
Linux server running Debian, selfmade kernel 2.6.8.1 and samba 3.0.6.
After a while the syslog showed lines like these:

new freenx and nx RPMS released, manual action for x86_64
There are new RPMS released for nx and freenx in the CentOS-4 and
CentOS-5 Extras repository.
I normally do not announce that here, as those can easily be obtained on
a normal "yum upgrade/update", however in this case there are special
actions required *_IF_* you have the x86_64 architecture for either
CentOS-4 or CentOS-5 with the current versions of nx and freenx installed.

Dovecot upgrade from 1.0.7-7.el5 to 1.2.4 ?
I am currently using dovecot 1.0.7-7.el5 on 32bit centos.
Plan is to upgrade to 1.2.4 using http://atrpms.net/dist/el5/dovecot/ rpms.
My config is very minimal:

ssl_cert_file = /etc/pki/tls/certs/server.cert
ssl_key_file = /etc/pki/tls/private/server.key
ssl_cipher_list = HIGH:MEDIUM:+TLSv1:!SSLv2:+SSLv3

Kernel panic with OCFS2 1.2.6 for EL5 (answer to multipath question)
Hello
This is a bit off-topic, but here goes:
Try installing the "device-mapper-multipath" package and follow the
documentation below - residing at the powerlink.emc.com site:
"Native Multipath Failover Based on DM-MPIO for v2.6.x Linux Kernel and EMC(r)
Storage Arrays"
When configured this works just as good as PowerPath. This works great on
RHEL / CentOS 5
