Xen IBM X3400 boots dead
I am attempting to install a Xen solution on an IBM X3400.  The raid card is the IBM M1015 which is based on the LSI 9220-8I. I followed the directions on the tutorial called "RHEL6 Xen4 Tutorial" at http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/RHEL6_Xen4_Tutorial .  When I attempt to boot the kernel the computer freezes. I don''t get any errors or anything helpful. I have also attempted to

Has anyone used a Dell with a PERC H310?
Hello Sa?o! I found you here: http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zfs-discuss/2012-May/051546.html "How about reflashing LSI firmware to the card? I read on Dell''s spec sheets that the card runs an LSISAS2008 chip, so chances are that standard LSI firmware will work on it. I can send you all the required bits to do the reflash, if you like." LSI SAS2008 Option Rom Failure
Hi- I am trying to pass an LSI SAS2008-based HBA (IBM M1015) through to an HVM Solaris VM, using Xen 4.2 unstable and the qemu-traditional device model. On boot I see the following error: MPT BIOS Fault 09h encountered at adapter PCI(00h,05h,00h) A list search yielded (http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.xen.devel/128172), however there was no solution for an HVM VM. JBOD / ZFS / Flash backed
Yes the flash-backed RAID cards use a super-capacitor to backup the flash cache. You have a choice of flash module sizes to include on the card. The card supports RAID modes as well as JBOD. I do not know if Gluster can make use of battery-backed flash-based Cache when the disks are presented by the RAID card in JBOD. The Hardware vendor asked "Do you know if Gluster makes use of

JBOD / ZFS / Flash backed
Your question is difficult to parse. Typically RAID and JBOD are mutually exclusive. By "flash-backed", do you mean a battery backup unit (BBU) on your RAID controller? [LLVMdev] How to optimize for x86 32-bit on Sandy Bridge processor ?
Hi all, I would like to know what are the options to use with 3.3rc1 llc/opt to 32-bit (NOT 64-bit) code on a Sandy Bridge processor ? I've defined a datalayout that use a 32-bit as pointer size and I'm passing -march=x86 to llc, is it enough ? I'm not using CLANG as front-end. Thanks for your answer Seb -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Anybody have any luck with games on Sandy Bridge?
I have been trying for the past several weeks to install my various windows games on my new Sandy Bridge desktop (Ubuntu 11.10, integrated Sandy Bridge graphics, Wine 1.3) with little to no success. While the games install just fine as the appdb says they should, I have yet to get any game to run and I have come to the conclusion that it is because of the graphics. The most progress I have made is

CentOS 5.5/5.6 on Sandy Bridge
Hi list Has anyone tried to install CentOS 5.5 on a system with one of the new Sandy Bridge processors with integrated GPU? I can live with bad X11 performance - I'm happy as long as I get a X11 desktop (with VESA or whatever) with no crashes :) I'll mostly use this system as a KVM host with a VNC server, but I'll like to be able to hook a screen to it. Re: Fwd: Haswell 4770 misidentified as Sandy Bridge
I didn't have cpuid installed on my system, but I imagine that libvirt is using the instruction cpuid, not a userspace program. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Fwd: Haswell 4770 misidentified as Sandy Bridge
Hi, I'm running libvert on a Debian 7 system. I have upgraded libvert and qemu from source (v1.06 and 1.5.0 respectively) and the problem persists. The guest OS is also a Debian 7 system running a non-SMP kernel. The error message from virt-manager is Error starting domain: unsupported configuration: guest and host CPU are not compatible: Host CPU does not provide required features: rtm,
