It was worth the wait!
WOW!!!
I'm actually stunned. I was expecting some changes, but this is wonderful and EVERYTHING worked correctly right out of the box.
Having a few small issues with my touchpad on this Dell Inspiron - can't get it to scroll - but everything else is exquisite! Thank you SO much for all your hard work CentOS team.

Updates... What? already?
Just had a good laugh. I'm sitting here at my desk working with my
laptop sitting off to the side; I've just loaded C6 this morning and as
I understand it C6 _just_ finished syncing on the mirrors over the
weekend. I look up from an email I'm composing to see the updates alert
being displayed. I won't repeat what first entered my head, but I
couldn't help but laugh and think,

Howto create a VPN connection on desktop (CentOS 6)
Hi List,
I'd like to be able to create VPN connections on my laptop to connect to
client locations and I was wondering if someone could point me in the
right direction for this information. I've checked on the wiki, but
didn't find anything.
Info appreciated...

Pulver's WiSIP with Linksys WAPs
I recently got a Pulver Innovations WiSIP wireless SIP phone to
determine if we want to use them in our organization. Since the WiSIP
phone arrived last week, I have had nothing but headaches. I do think
I now have the problem narrowed down.
I have spent a bulk of my time trying to get the WiSIP to work with a
couple of Linksys WAP11 Version 2.2. I have met with no success in
getting the WiSIP

CentOS 6 supported hardware
Has anyone seen a supported hardware list on CentOS 6? I've been looking
around for the last few days; even looked at RedHat's site but didn't
find one.
I've got a Dell Inspiron 1501 with a Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini-card
in it and I'm trying to find out if it's going to have native driver
support for the WIFI.
thanks,

Wireless LANs and Asterisk
Has anyone had any experience with wireless LANs and Asterisk?
We have and here are my impressions.
We configured an Asterisk in the office as a precaution to see how it
would work for our own retail customers. Our office is open space, about
800 sq ft. (20x40 area). We use Snom200 and Grandstream SIP phones.

[LEARNING OUTCOME] Wi-Fi WPA Hacking Tool is Totally Useless on New Wireless Routers
Hi,
I am sharing my learning outcomes.
Recently I downloaded Kali Linux 64-bit Version 2018.1 and ran it on
my HP laptop with the integrated Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260
Wireless Network Card.
I wanted to test if I could hack the Wi-Fi WPA password on Ruckus R700
Access Point (AP) and the Aztech DSL8900GR(AC) Wireless Router. So I
started using the Reaver WPA cracking tool.

laptop wireless--orinoco_cs, can it do WPA?
Hi!
I'm messing about with an old Toshiba Tecra laptop. i've got wireless
working well using NetworkManager and WEP. But I'm interested in finding
out if it is possible to get WPA/TKIP or other WPA variants to work with
that driver.
According to dmesg, boottime diagnostics include:
eth0: Hardware identity 0005:0004:0005:0000
eth0: Station identity 001f:0001:0008:000a

testing wireless security
I have been playing around with 3 ath based FreeBSD boxes and seem to
have got everything going via WPA and a common PSK for 802.11x
auth. However, I want to have a bit more certainty about things
working properly.
What tools do people recommend for sniffing and checking a wireless network ?
In terms of IDS, is there any way to see if people are trying to
bruteforce the network ? I see

WPA Radius wireless authentication and CentOS 5
I previously had WPA radius authentication working from my laptop to my
home network with the laptop running Fedora Core 6 and the server
running freeRadius under CentOS 4.4 (freeradius-1.0.1-3.RHEL4.3). I'm
attempting to move my FC 6 boxes to CentOS 5 so I decided to pick on the
laptop first. Unfortunately, I neglected to backup /etc before doing
the CentOS 5 install (bad Dave, bad

Error: Permission denied, please try again.
Greetings: I hope it is okay to post this here. I have RedHat 6.1 on
Intel. I believe I followed the instructions correctly.
Everything seemed to compile without errors but when I try to log in I get
the above error - any advice? I've poked through the FAQ and man pages with
no luck.
Thanks for any and all replies,

wireless protection with mixed network and is AES or TKIP better or other??
greetings
in setting up a mixed network of CentOS, WinThings, Cisco, and more... i
need a lil' feedback please re: practical wireless WPA settings...
i always just used WPA PSK and TKIP by defauly (never thought about any
issues here before, DUH!) yet i have done some reading while searching
recently and it appeared to inform me that ummmm if using WPA-PSK that one
should use AES instead of

Kernel 2.6.9.42 (.0 and .0.2) Wireless Problems
WPA-2 (WPA Enterprise) fails with the new kernel(s) using ndiswrapper
and wpa_supplicant. I haven't tried other authentication modes because
that entails changes in the wireless setup which I am loathe to make right
now. (It's a Broadcom mini pci card, so I have to use ndiswrapper with this
Dell laptop. Bummer!).

Using Apache 2.2 config files on Apache 2.4
Hello List,
I'm in the process of migrating LAMP servers. I've got a C5 LAMP server
in my rack that has been running faithfully without complaint for the
past 9 years. In some ways I really hate to move out of it, but there
are things to get done, things to consider and reasons that make the
migration necessary.
I've got a C7 server loaded and the basic configuration partially

Centos 4 & Cisco 350 MiniPCI Wireless
I have an IBM Thinkpad with this beastie in it. The card was
immediately recognized and uses the airo driver. No matter what I do, I
can't get it to successfully connect to my WAP. Sometimes it sees the
access point (as evidenced by an iwlist wifi0 scan seeing the network)
and sometimes I can actually get it to connect ( as evidenced by the
iwlist command showing the WAP ID).
