Getting perl CGI programs to work on CentOS 5 server
I'm trying to get perl CGI programs to work from the cgi-bin (actually a
sub-directory cgi-bin/various) and have set appropriate permissions
using chmod 755. I'm currently testing using the simplest cgi program,
you know the one:
#!/usr/bin/perl
# howdy--the easiest of CGI programs
use CGI;

The case of the missing mail
I became suspicious that I should have received a certain message, and reading
pm.log I discovered that it had indeed arrived and had been allocated to
/var/mail/anne, despite procmailrc telling it that
MAILDIR=/home/anne/Maildir/
Any idea what might have caused this? It seems to have been working like this
only in the last 24 hours or so.

C7 apache file access
Pulling out what little hair I have here, but stumbled onto a possible
problem.
I have a server running C6 apache that is set up with personal
directories and no problem showing the files.
You can see it at: medon.htt-consult.com/~rgm/pogo
So I have a C7 apache server I am building. Files I create on the new
server are listing fine. Files I have copied (with cp -avr ...) get

installing Windows 2008 R2
Hi all,
I''ve been trying to install Windows Server 2008 R2 under Xen 3.1 on
Red Hat, but it keeps blue screening after the first reboot during the
install. It seems to only affect 2008 R2. Windows Server 2008
installs fine, rebooting a couple of times along the way.
With R2, it will go through the initial unpack and install, and then
it reboots. I''m installing it

sssd.conf file missing
Hello --
I made the suggested changes to the sssd.conf file, and the results are the same.
Just to make sure my syntax is correct:
The following section was added to the end of the file:
[sssd]
debug_level = 4
config_file_version = 2
domains = company/company.org

IBM GPFS filesystem
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to speak about using IBM's GPFS
filesystem as a means of storing virtual guests in a clustered environment
with CentOS as the nodes and KVM as the hypervisor?
I'm looking at using IBM's TSM software for archiving data from disk to
tape. This requires buying a license for GPFS which is used in conjunction
with TSM but can also be used

sssd.conf file missing
Hello ?
Thank-you for your e-mail. I corrected the syntax in the file, and I have confirmed the permissions are correct:
-rw-------. 1 root root 266 Jun 23 08:45 sssd.conf
Unfortunately, the error condition and messages listed in my initial e-mail are still present.

A bug report would probably be helpful.
I'm looking back at the message you wrote describing errors in
ld-2.17.so. I think what's happening is that the policy on your system
includes a silent rule that somehow breaks your system. You'll need

Brasero/cdrecord/growisofs with selinux users confined to staff_u
Hello CentOS / RedHat / IBM folks!
I am wondering if I can get a communication channel opened with
someone who can affect changes win upstream RHEL? I don't have
support accounts with RHEL, and use CentOS almost exclusively. I did
have a direct email conversation with Mr. Daniel Walsh regarding these
problems, but his answer was to create custom policy to allow what's

selinux + kvm virtualization + smartd problem

I'm using HP homeserver where host system run CentOS 6.3 with KVM

without SELinux, but this does not matter).
Host system installed on mirrors based on sda and sdb physical disks.

needed to use zfs (zfsonlinux) benefit features). Problem is that

iscsi multipath fails
Hi all,
I have a Dell server running cent 5.6, new install, connecting to an IBM
DS3500. I have configured iscsi connections using iscsid and can log into
the targets on the IBM. I can also mount the LUNs when accessing them from
their active controller path. When I throw multipath into the mix, it fails
completely. Multipath is working, when I run multipath -ll it shows me the

I am trying libvirt on POWERPC64 with the default settings such as selinux

Having problem getting Asterisk to work on CentOS 7
What are you using for the database - SQLite?
I am using mysql (mariadb).
I am not familiar with SQLlite. Can you access the database from the
console - look up the list of tables - display the contents from a
table? Anything to see if your SQLite is working and has asterisk data
in it.
From your Asterisk console,
|CLI> core show help database|
should give you a list of commands that you

selinux context for mm-handler?
I've got a Mailman installation running on CentOS 4 that I'd like to
migrate to a CentOS 6 box.
My big obstacle at present is getting Mailman's mm-handler Perl
script to run as a Sendmail local mailer with SELinux enabled.
I've tried changing mm-handler's selinux context type a few times, but
nothing has resulted in success:
