zoneminder
Is there a package for zoneminder in the std repos (base, rpmfusion, epel), or just on rpmforge? mark "unless someone's got a security DVR to loan us for testing...."

security cameras
I heard about some inexpensive security cameras which get their power through the same cat5 cable which delivers the data/pictures (which would simplify wiring tremendously). Does anyone know about these? Do they work with Linux, particularly CentOS? tnx 4 tips.

OT: Hardware upgrade help
I would like to upgrade my system to a 64 bit machine. I'd like to find a bare bones platform to build on. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on this as it is a home system. I looked on the CentOS sponsor page but only saw hosting services. I haven't kept up with hardware in years so I'm dumber than dirt on what's out there. I would prefer a desktop so I can stack it.

Perl module installed via CPAN but its is not found
Hello, I am trying to rebuild a zoneminder rpm. It calls for the module perl(Sys::Mmap). I installed via CPAN but when I run rpmbuild --rebuild zoneminder-xxxxxx, it tells me the above module is needed. Seems I ran into this once before and fixed it, but I can't remember what I did. I have searched for two days now and can't find anything of help. TIA Eddie PS If I can get this

Question about 7.3
I haven't done a fresh install in years. I've always gone the upgrade route. Seemed to have always worked for me. I moved to 7.3 since it supports the latest versions of some programs I want to use to implement as a backup server/RAID/NAS for 3 machines here at home and a remote laptop at work. So, the question is, is there something different in 7.3 than the previous 7 versions? The

ipset and blacklisting
This is what ipset can do for traffic on a home server that's not wanted on a slow 6MB DSL connection. http://palmettoshopper.com/httpd_traffic.jpg I only use my home server for zoneminder, testing my commercial website and streaming movies. Got tired of hackers looking for files that don't exist on my home server and non-complying robots. Check the drop in bandwidth. Setup up a

OT: Video Surveillance SW on CentOS
I suggested to our Homeowners Association that we begin a Private Forum (phpBB) and web site. That suggestion has been well received and we will proceed with that. Now, I have become involved in a much more complex and important project, which is Video Surveillance, for the entrance to our subdivision. I Googled and found two (2) things for Linux that seem to be OK: (a) ZoneMinder

He intentado con spplot(zm, c(?part88?, ?part93?), cuts=4, col.regions=brewer.pal(4, ?Set3?)) Lo pude hacer utilizando el base graphics de R, definiendo: > plotvar88 <- zm$part88 > nclr <- 8 > plotclr <- brewer.pal(nclr, "PuOr") > plotclr

Zoneminder
I have a few dvr's that I am contemplating converting to Zoneminder (don't know any other app) and would prefer to use CentOS over fedora obviously but the only rpm I see exists for Fedora. I don't want the hassle of manually compiling this, as we have our own config mgmt. Anyone using this rpm (srpm recompiled) in CentOS or know of a solution that exists? Thanks! jlc
