How to install libvirt 0.9.4 RPM on Fedora 14?
Hi, I'm trying to install the newest version of libvirt and libvirt-client from the rpms at ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ on a Fedora 14 machine. The naming of the rpms as "libvirt-0.9.4-1.fc14.x86_64.rpm" suggests that this is exactly the system this was made for, however, installation still does not go smoothly. When I try to install these packages with yum install

dear everybody two OSes, two Sambas, same settings, same shared conted and one Java application, that complains about "File is in-use by another process". sambas are two different versions, only other difference is SElinux, 'disabled' and on the box that causes problems is 'permissive' I would need samba not to complain, but cannot for all treasures of the world,

Centos 6 installation memory requirements
Will (does) Centos 6 require 512Mb of memory for the GUI install like FC14 or the lower requirement of FC13? My ASUS EE 700 has ~490Mb of memory (vidoe steals some from the 512Mb base) and FC14 switches to text install and does not install any GUI, leaving the boot in test mode. I recall a message earlier that 6 is based off of 14, but not the final Anaconda, thus my question. It would be

nfs4 idmapd.conf user mapping
On my CentOS 6.3 machine, in /etc/idmapd.conf I've updated the "[Mapping]" section of the config file: Nobody-User = paulbsch Nobody-Group = paulbsch But the mapping is not working. Files still show up as being owned by "nobody". On my Fedora 14 machine, with the exact same changes to /etc/idmapd.conf, the mapping works perfectly and the files show up as being owned by

Speaking of DNSmasq ....
.... I am getting a bit tired of those pesky DNSmasq entries in my syslog file, they fill it up about weekly, wash other stuff out of view on a tail. Is there any way to suppress them. or else increase their lease time so that they happen less frequently ? Having a finite lease time for a VM seems nonsensical, it can't go anywhere or disconnect (obviously) .... I tried restarting DNSmasq,

Problems setting up bridge
Hi, I have a fc14 box with two interfaces that I'm having some difficulty setting up a bridge properly. I have a few kvm guests set up and running, but I've switched from using NetworkManager to using standard networking with a bridge. I've modified the ifcfg-eth0 and created ifcfg-br0 as per the standard documentation, but I think I'm having routing problems. This is what the

Hi, I have an existing windows7 x86_64 kvm guest running on fedora14 x86_64 with a Radeon HD5700 at 1680x1050, and would like to improve the resolution of the Windows guest. How can I change the Windows driver to something more capable than "standard vga"? It currently reports there is only 16MB of RAM at available at 1440x900. How can I increase this?
