Centos 5.5 - Kernel Panic while booting.
Dear centos community, I was in the process of loading the latest 5.5 release of centos in a VMWARE ESX 4.1 host as my first virtual machine, suddenly while booting I got a panic error with the following on screen. Can someone point me in the right direction. This machine has 24 cores and I allocated 1 for Centos to use with 1024MB of memory. Any clues or workaround to solve this problem? Thank

Torrent sharing question
Hi Folks. Just a quick question. I have been sharing CenOS 5.0 and 5.1 since I down loaded them. Now we are on to 5.2 is it still worth sharing them or can I archive them to DVD and save some hard drive space? Can anyone compile mtr source RPM on CentOS 6.7?
I'm not surprised, given that it is in the repo. That's why I was asking if anyone tried building it themselves and, if so, did they have the same issue as I describe below? Alternatively, any tips/advice on solving my build issue would be helpful. digimer On 07/03/16 07:29 PM, Nux! wrote: > It built just fine in mock, results here > http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/tmp/mtr6/ >

What torrent are y'all using?
I grabbed the torrent off of one of the iso mirrors, but it is coming down so slow - I have to wonder if the torrent file is the incorrect one for the bad file mentioned on the list earlier. Would someone be kind enough to point me to a mirror with a known good torrent file?

Lost stonehenge.ogg
Back in 2001 Patrick Godeau posted to this list a link to an awesome track called stonehenge. A bunch of us here downloaded it. Somehow I managed to hose my copy and was wondering if anyone on this list still has it around and could post a link or email it to me? I absolutely love that track and I can't even see where I could purchase it... as far as I know it's a one of a kind gem,

CentOS 5 and bittorrent
Folks. This is likely to be the hardest hit CentOS has ever taken with regards to bandwidth needs. I was really hesitant to use bittorrent for this type of thing for a long time. However, it really is nice to give back at least what you take. At the moment, I'm seeing almost 3000 connections to the torrent. That times 3.5 gigs is a pretty huge chunk of data... and it has just begun. What
