libsrtp package anywhere?
Hi list,
I'm trying to create an asterisk 1.8 rpm with SRTP.
I found mention of a libsrtp rpm,
<http://qutecom.ipex.cz/RPMS/srtp-1.4.4-1.i386.rpm >
in these instructions,
<http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SRTP>
but it is unreachable (by me, anyway).
The libSRTP source is here,
<http://srtp.sourceforge.net/download.html>.
Has this already been packaged for

Hello,
I'm trying to use postgres authentication with dovecot on a linux
system running Fedora Core 2. Installation of dovecot was done by
installing the rpm included in the fedora distribution ("yum install
dovecot").
from /etc/dovecot.conf
auth_userdb = pgsql /etc/dovecot-pgsql.conf
auth_passdb = pgsql /etc/dovecot-pgsql.conf
but the logs tell me:

OT - Automated rpm builds
Hi
Currently devs check code into perforce and we have to checkout >
package > update repo > deploy
I know this could be scripted but are there any tools out there that can
take code from a repository and build rpm's in a continuous integration
type manner? I have been hunting around for such a tool and so far not
seeing anything obvious as i dont want to reinvent the wheel if

Problems with building an rpm
I followed the setup instructions from
http://www.owlriver.com/tips/non-root/ (link from the Centos wiki). All
this is done on another 'clean' system, so I have to read the terminal
screen there and tell what went wrong here.
I then followed my colleague's instructions to get the tar, untar,
autogen, configure, and finally make rpm.
Well it was that make rpm command that finally

rpm building and hyphens in Version tags
According to http://www.rpm.org/api/4.4.2.2/specfile.html a
Version: tag can contain a hyphen, as the tarball for the source
I am compiling is named 2.3-pre4 etc.
When I try to build it I get an error about the illegal char?
Anyone know about the discrepancy between the docs and RHEL's
rpmbuild? Without recreating a new tarball and bungling the name
how does one gracefully handle this?

mod_ssl?
I just noticed that the mod_ssl package was missing on a 5.x machine
that I thought was approximately like several other that have it - and
don't remember doing anything different. Is there some yum group that
would install httpd without including it?

How to update MySQL with CentOS 6 in most unintrusive way - in regard to perl and PHP packages
Dear fellow CentOS users,
for my few hobby projects (web games + forums) I have been using CentOS 5
(then 6) with Drupal and PostgreSQL plus few custom PHP and Perl scripts
written by mysef.
Since PostgreSQL version delivered with CentOS package has been a bit
dated, I always used the PGDG packages:
# rpm -qa | grep -i pgdg
pgdg-centos93-9.3-1.noarch

CentOS 6: Increase shared memory limits permanently
Hello again,
on CentOS 6 / 64 bit what is please the best way
to permanently increase the shared memory?
I'd like to give shared_buffers = 4096MB
to PostgreSQL 8.4 on my machine with
16 GB RAM, but I currently only have:
# sysctl -A|grep shm
kernel.shmmax = 33554432
kernel.shmall = 2097152
kernel.shmmni = 4096
and this produces the error in

PgSQL development libraries?
Hi,
I am trying to compile an application (PowerDNS) with PostgreSQL
support. Where do the PowerDNS libraries get installed under CentOS?
I am constantly getting the error
checking for PgSQL library directory... configure: error: Didn't find
the pgsql library dir in '/usr/include/lib/pgsql /usr/include/pgsql

MC
I've tried to install midnight commander on centos3.1 final. No luck in
installing it via yum install. When I download src.rpm from centos2 updates
SRPMS I couldn't rebuild it. RPM --rebuild mc*.src.rpm didn't work (no
rebuild option). What can I do then ?

Making rpm from tar.gz
OS: CentOS 5 x86.
I have read in some places that we can make an rpm package from tar.gz,
by issuing rpmbuild -ta. However it doesn't seem to work. Any hints?

Who maintains php-pgsql package? I want to ask about using PostgreSQL 8.4 library instead of PostgreSQL 8.1.
How do I find out who is the maintainer of the php-pgsql package, please?
I want to request upgrade from underlying postgresql-libs-8.1.21
(/usr/lib64/libpq.so.4) to postgresql84-libs-8.4.4 (/usr/lib64/libpq.so.5.2).
Background on this request: Apache httpd's php's php-pgsql uses
PostgreSQL 8.1 library (/usr/lib64/libpq.so.4), which leaks memory.
PostgreSQL 8.4 library does not leak.

pgsql and default_pass_scheme
Hello list,
I am running Dovecot 1.0-test46 on FreeBSD with PostgreSQL as backend, runs _very_ nice, but i can not set
"default_pass_scheme = CRYPT" (only PLAIN) for PostgreSQL Auth in dovecot-pgsql.conf.
I have a valid entry in pg_hba.conf (and reloaded/restarted):
"local mail mail crypt"
If i replace crypt in pg_hba.conf

Environment variables in pgsql connect string
Hi,
We are trying to set up a Dovecot Docker image with dynamic database
configuration based on environment variables, however the variables do
not appear to be expanded in the "connect=" string of the SQL config.
The documentation states that environment variables, being listed under
global variables, work "everywhere":

moving from mysql to pgsql
Hello,
I hope that this mailing list is "alive", since I am looking for a
solution for my problem for a long time.
I would like to migrate my existing dovecot installation from mysql to
pgsql. But I have problems with the passwords when using pgsql.
The existing and working mysql-based installation looks like this:
dovecot-sql.conf.ext:
driver = mysql
