Using an MS Access database from CentOS release 5.7 (Final)
@Work requires me to manipulate the MS Access database (mdb) file located on an XP box that is an integral part of a third party application that is central to the business. Does anyone have experience doing so? I have used odbtp in the recent past but it is extremely difficult to set up on the linux box as I learned when I recently upgraded from CentOS 4.x to 5.x. Is there another way to get

CentOS 5.5 php configure errors
I am attempting to install odbtp on my newly created lamp server running CentOS 5.5 and php 5.2.17. The odbtp compile failed looking for lots of zend related files supposedly in the php install dir. I learned from the odbtp project forum that I need to run configure in the php source directory. So I downloaded the php 5.2.17 source and ran ./configure and got these results: root at myserver

Crash and automatical reboot when using the NVIDIA card
Hello there, I'm running a Supermicro server with the latest CentOS 6.4 versions (kernel : 2.6.32-358.23.2.el6.x86_64) and the latest nvidia driver (331.20). A few minutes after using the GPU for doing some HPC calculations, the server crashes and reboots itself. This is happening every time. I know it will be rebooted but I don't know when. Sometimes it's 20 minutes after starting

How to remove a Trash folder from a mounted ntfs partition
CentOS-5.7 using fuse-ntfs-3g I have a HDD from a laptop that is being returned for repair replacement. I wish to remove certain files before sending the laptop back with the HDD. I have mouunted the HDD on my desktop as an ntfs filesystem using an external SATA / USB adapter. As root I then used the gnome desktop to move the desired files to trash. Now I wish to delete the contents of the

Jitter buffer white paper?
Hi, Is there a white paper describing how the jitter buffer in Speex works and what "side effects" (such as introducing delay) can happen? In the past, I have implemented a similar "dual buffer" algorithm to try to smooth out lost or delayed packets with a fixed know delay (no larger than 2 times the Speex frame). Thanks. ODBTP bounty
My employer has agreed to a $900 USD bounty for ODBTP support in Rails. For Rails to support ODBTP, a core Ruby module in C would need to be developed, as well as a Rails adapter in Ruby. Please contact me if you are interested in this bounty or have any other questions. For more information on ODBTP, see: http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/pages/ODBTP -- Posted via

ODBTP
I''ve created a page on the wiki for ODBTP as a potential database driver. It may be a good candidate for a future database driver, if it''s able to provide access to many different win based databases while only implementing one database driver/extension. Just thought I''d throw the idea out there! http://odbtp.sourceforge.net

CentOS 4.8 - PHP Version 5.1.6 and SQLite
I wish to use the SQLite extensions for php but the version I updated to with yum update (see above) was compiled '--without-sqlite'. I could sure use some help getting these extensions enabled. As I am unfamiliar with OOP the references to PDO on the web have been meaningless to me. Furthermore, a trip to the local book store today (Barnes & Noble) revealed no php books that

Sub-directories are empty
Hello, I have been using Red Hat 8.0 with SAMBA for a while (but I am by no means an expert at either) without issue. Anyway I just migrated my system to SuSe 9.0. SAMBA appears to be setup properly as I can connect to the two shares I have from a windows machine. However I am having diffaculty with one of my shares. This one share has a bunch of files in it and a couple of sub-directories.

Per application configuration files
Hi, Firstly, I'd like to know how it's possible to generate a blank configuration with WINE's defaults so I can configure them Secondly, I'd like to know whether you can create a configuration per application you wish to run, whether this could be passed to wine on the command line or whether you have to define a specific section of the wine config file. It's just that

[LLVMdev] Visual C++ 2008 Build from trunk
I'm trying to build the sources from the svn trunk using VC2008, and I'm running into some problems. First, I have no idea what the configure project is for, and it fails with a manifest related error (the project lacks any .c* files anyway). This causes an avalanche of problems, initiated by TableGen not being able to build. Has anyone been successful in getting the LLVM libs to build

what do you think about write.table(... qmethod = "excel")?
Last week one of our clients reported trouble with a csv file I generated with write.table. He said that columns with quotes for character variables were rejected by their data importer, which was revised to match the way Microsoft Excel uses quotation marks in character variables. I explained to them that quoted character variables are virtuous and wise, of course, but they say Microsoft Excel
