Yes, 'virsh vcpupin' can be used to change CPU affinity at runtime.

[PATCH V3] vmx/nmi: Do not use self_nmi() in VMEXIT handler
The self_nmi() code cause''s an NMI to be triggered by sending an APIC
message to the local processor. However, NMIs are blocked by the
VMEXIT, until the next iret or VMENTER.
Volume 3 Chapter 27 Section 1 of the Intel SDM states:
An NMI causes subsequent NMIs to be blocked, but only after the VM exit
completes.
As a result, as soon as the VMENTER happens, an immediate VMEXIT

NMI issues...
I have read thru what other users have tried in this list when they have
experienced seemingly similar issues to what I have, without success. I
suspect there might be an issue regarding both the X100P and TDM04b cards
being used in an Intel SE7525GP2 motherboard, as I had to even wait for a
BIOS update from Intel in order to utilize my 3ware 9500 SATA raid
controller on it (3ware Kb -->

Bizzare Date, DateTime, date_select issues
I''ve been banging my head against this wall for several hours, and it
hurts now so I''ll stop and ask someone.
In one of my forms I had been using a statement to extract the current
year for use with some form field calculations.
<% currentyear = DateTime.now.year %>
And then further down several date_selects like the following,

Bizzare DTMF on channel bank
I have incoming PSTN lines on an Adtran 750 channel bank. Calls are
evaluated by an agi script based on callerid and forwarded to an
international DID through Voxee. There is an IVR at that number that
asked to user to enter a selection. When the user presses a key, my pbx
puts the call on hold and tries to start music on hold. What's doing
this? I have no backgrounds, no listen, the call

LS command bizzare behavior
Hi,
My bosses are running into an issue, where we type "ls" on a nfs mounted
filesystem, and files that are there are not listed...
I thought it was pilot error until my big boss showed me...
but we can vi the files, we can access them via other means if we know
the name. Then once we have accessed them, LS now shows the files.
We are running centos 6.5, we are accessing them via

Bizzare behaviour of Samba+ADS - help needed
I have samba+ads working fine *HOWEVER* when I run net ads keytab create
it fails.
Using -d 10 the debug output says it cannot write to the file. This is
truly bizarre as I am running this as root!
e.g.
# /usr/local/opt/samba/samba-3.0.24/bin/net ads keytab create ; echo $?

And
/usr/local/opt/samba/samba-3.0.24/bin/net -d 10 ads keytab create ; echo

Somewhat bizzare share issue
I have 19 servers with this smb.conf share definition working:
[export]
comment = Exported Files
path = /tmp/export
guest ok = Yes
On the 20th server however, this just doesn't want to work.
I've gone through the basics of guest access and permissions more than a few times trying to figure this one out.
Approaching this from another angle, I tried the following

processor affinity
Hello,
i am running CentOS 5.4. i have a requirement where i need to have 1
application have a single processor all to its self, and the rest of the
system run on the other processors. "taskman" lets me bind the process
to a processor(s), but it does not make it exclusive. Is this possible
to do? i have even tried mucking around with the rc.sysinit, but to no
avail.
thank you very

Slow performance with many 3D games
Lots of 3D games such as Team Fortress 2, Audiosurf or Stalker have very low performance in comparison to running on the same computer on Windows. What can I do to improve it? What developers have still to implement to fully support 3D rendering?

vcpupin and kvm
Hi.
Can anyone confirm if vcpupin works correctly with kvm? If set I pin a
vcpu it shows up correctly via vcpuinfo, but querying via taskset shows
the cpu is not pinned.
Thanks,

Random server reboot after update to CentOS 5.3
Dear ML
We upgraded a Dell Poweredge PE 1950 Server the 8th of May. Since then
the server rebooted 3 times without external cause (it is located in a
server farm with redundant power supply etc.). Looking at the servers
monitoring infrastructure with Dell's own OpenManage tools, I get
strange errors:

IAX2 Vs SIP cpu load
Hello
Is it correct that IAX2 uses more CPU, than SIP? Also, can it be true that IAX2 is much more sensitive against high CPU loads?
Also, does Asterisk support and use multiprocessor architectures, such as Xeon?
?

Status of FLR in Xen 4.4
Hi everyone,
I would like to ask what the current status of FLR, or better of FLR
emulation is in latest Xen and if we can expect better support in the
future.
I''m asking because with xl (latest build and traditional qemu, not
upstream), I always had problems with rebooting domUs which have vga cards
passed through to them, because appearently they don''t get reinitialized

cgroup for VM - does it work properly?
Hi
I tried to restrict usage of some running VM by cpu.shares (i.e. set to
10 from original 1024) on loaded system and it seem doesn't work as I
expected... all running processes has same CPU usage (by htop) :-/
Does anyone has same experience?
Fedora 19, libvirt-1.0.5.9-1.fc19.x86_64
Thanks a lot

Linux R / Windows client
Hello,
I am currently running R on ubuntu and everything is working perfectly
fine. However, I would like to connect to R via Windows using Eclipse
StatEt plugin. Is this possible to do? or do I have to have a version
of R running on Windows also? I prefer to have Linux do the heavy
lifting and Windows Eclipse to be a sort of GUI.
Any thoughts?
