DHCP with ipv6 tunnel
I'm completely confused here and I'm hoping someone here has a setup
they're willing to share, or help me configure things on my end.
My connectivity is through Comcast, who unfortunately, does not offer ipv6
in my area. My connection goes like this:
Comcast -> Motorola Surfboard Cable Router -> CentOS 6.5 server
The CentOS server is multi-homed and manages the internal

Configuring ipv6 reboot persistence, CentOS 5.6
Hello,
I'm running a CentOS 5.6 server through linode. I am atempting to
configure it for ipv6, previously this had been done though not by me
on a ubuntu box so the hardware can take it. I've got an ipv6 tunnel
through Hurricane Electric and at a shell prompt have done the
following:
ifconfig sit0 up
ifconfig sit0 inet6 tunnel ::IPV4 Address
ifconfig sit1 up
ifconfig sit1 inet6 add IPV6

IPv6, HE tunnel and ip6tables problems
CentOS 5.5, fully patched.
I have a HE tunnel (tunnelbroker.net) IPv6 tunnel. This works pretty
well and is simple to setup. Everything works fine.
Until I try to set up an ip6tables firewall.
eg if I try to view https://dnssec.surfnet.nl/?p=464 then the page never
displays and the firewall shows
kernel: IN=sit1 OUT=eth0 SRC=2001:0610:0001:40cd:0145:0100:0186:0033 DST=my.machine LEN=80 TC=0

hello,
I have a test setup with 2 asterisk servers, each having a one snom 100
via sip using it. I`m experimenting on how trunking between them would
work. I have them setup for RSA authentication which I plan to use in
the future.
So I`ve setup the keys and servers seem authenticate to each other. One
is named phila and other hurricane.
Here is what I see on phila:

IPV4 is nearly depleted, are you ready for IPV6?
Seeing as IPV4 is near it's end of life
(http://www.internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3915471/IPv4+Nearing+Final+Days.htm),
I'm curios as who know whether everyone is ready for the changeover to
IPV6?
Is anyone using it in production already, and what are your experiences with it?

SFTP - Private/Public Authentication Keysets Beyond The First Set
I'm new to SFTP and using this mailing list was able to successfully create
my first Private/Public keyset for a vendor hosting the SFTP server (I'm the
client). I created the keyset by typing this:
# ssh-keygen -t rsa
When asked for the password/passphrase I hit <Enter> and afterwards "id_rsa"
and "id_rsa.pub" were created in "/root/.ssh/". I

SFTP - Private/Public Authentication Keysets Beyond The First Set
Thanks for responding so quickly! No but I will try. Are you saying the
first vendor connection worked because id_rsa and id_rsa.pub are the
defaults if not specified? (I didn't use the -i flag for the first vendor.)

Drive recovery?
I have a CentOS 5.6 system (recently installed) that, for some
reason, has decided to mangle one of its drives, specifically /dev/hde1
... No errors anywhere, just rebooted the machine over the weekend and
it's gone. Up till the reboot, the drive was fine, I was writing to it
without a problem.
fdisk tells me:
----------
# fdisk -l /dev/hde
Disk /dev/hde: 160.0 GB, 160041885696

XML namespace control
Hello,
I am working with a database system from which I can retrieve these kinds of user defined fields formed as XML ...

Howto install Centos6/7 Comcast WA/OR
Has anyone managed to install a Centos6 or Centos7 in Washington or
Orgegon, or anywhere else that Comcast has deployed the IPV6to4
routers. The router in question is a Xfinity DCP3939 Router with
Wireless, and I'm trying to get a Centos system working behind that
router (with a wired connection), and enable SSH access from outside.
Does one have to enable both IPV6 and IPV4?

Simulations in R during power failure
Hi everyone,
I recently ran a simulation on a computer using R that was hooked up to a UPS. There was one time when the power was out for length and the computer shut down. I was worried that I had lost the simulation, but upon booting the machine up, I heard the processor kick in. It sounded like the simulation had resumed.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Because I live in

createrepo command for 6.4 respin
Hi List,
I have been searching for the correct createrepo command to make a 6.4 respin.
We have been doing this with previous versions using
createrepo -u "media://$discinfo" -g ${DIR}/my_kickstart${VER}/comps.xml .
Which had worked fine until now.
Thanks,

Optimized VSEncoding
Hi,
The size of the string generated by VSEncoder is 12592387,
while that by InterpolativeEncoder is 8554817.
When only encoding the first 1000lines,
both cost 0ms to decode and VS cost 1ms to encode while Interpolative cost 0ms,
1000lines is just too little to catch the difference in my test.
I upload the source code to https://github.com/HurricaneTong/Xapian/tree/master/VSEncoder

You want to use xapian-config-1.3 here, not xapian-config (which will be the installed version, not the trunk version you built).
I've just built trunk (on Mac OS, admittedly),

biosdevname
Hello,
Anybody else run into problems with biosdevname .0.5..0-2 changing names
from p2p1 to em1 when upgrading from biosdevname 0.4.1-3?
Darn!
I thought biosdevname was to keep the names the same!!
